This random "hero" orc just came in and chopped the head off the orc I was letting kill me in a death threat to try give him a extra perk or 2. Bye Bye a 3 immunity mystic berserker orc with no mortal weaknesses no vulnerabilites and no dazes, seriously ♥♥♥♥ you my random saviour.

Why do people keep thinking they have to let orcs kill them to level them up? You can level them up after you recruit them.

yeah , you can send them on a missions , who levels them up fairly quickly(not sure if white gem affects that) , also arena , and scrolls

It was for perks not levels they can get nice perks from killing you. My first Nemesis became a legendary from kicking me about.

this game is not to create orcs, the nemesis system is about uncertainty, unpredictable things can happen

Exactly, you'll go nuts just focusing on any one orc that much, that's why people are complaining about betrayals.......you're not supposed to become that attached to a follower because anything can happen which is the beauty of the nemesis system. The epic/legendary traits are an added bonus but it in no way makes that orc OP and while you spend 3 hours trying to get one orc to acquire an epic trait, he'll either betray you or get 3-shot killed by someone else. Grow an army, not a petting zoo.

Although you can use that method in the hopes of the perfect outcome, you will more often find them in loot packs. Simply destroy the orcs you dont want and put the ones with no faults on the field, level them in pits or assisting them with a quest or two.

There will be others. 3 immunites and no weaknesses is on the weaker side of "good" orcs.

They get these perks by leveling up, never heard nor experienced anything about that they get special perks for killing you.
What ppl try to do is to let normal mobs kill them so they get promoted to captains with a chance to become legendary, but thats's quite the same as fastforwarding time.

Yeah those personal quests are great. When they succeed they change even if they dont level up.

The best followers are those with immunities. Enrage skills are unimportant because you can personally enrage them with a click of the button
