Crafty, Gravewalker, Warlock has close to 100% of being one.
How to gain curse on them? Give them curse weapon, then hope.
If you give a necromancer another element weapon, as poison or fire. Their necromancer ability will be removed
Basically I noticed it, and I tried it out by sacrificing my necromancer by giving him other elemental weapons.
Then talked to Uruk Hollow (That is famous SoM/SoW) through discord, and he had also noticed all necromancers are Cursed.
Doesn't matter skin color, or tribe or anything. It's just the curse that is the main factor
Still doesn't mean they will have it 100%, curse only gives the chance.
I have noticed they lose it if they go below 20, and gain it when going above 20.
But not always the case, sadly.
Still it's only those three titles that has the biggest chance of getting it, or has it always has it.
heres all my dudes with the trait that i found so far https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/921419279571350871/58F83474CD129897199F4EC6E5C7DBAAB93F85FA/

He originally had mighty defenders, replaced that with thick skin. Not sure where I want to put him...
edit: put him in the fight pits, was losing the 5th fight. Badly. Was considering alt-quitting for the first time in an online fight since I started playing the game. He raised the dead gangs, and apparently the other overlord was terrified of undead LMAO. got great strength, which is cool, I was more than half expecting him to get mighty defenders again or curse master.
Shame too. I was so psyched when I found Kruk the Tower and it took me like two or three attempts to dominate him (think I died once or twice in my quest to do so) and I really loved the concept of bringing "The Tower" under my control. Ultimate revenge.
Anyways, its safe to say Necromancers are EXTREMELY rare. If I remember right though, Im pretty sure the developers did reference in one of their livestreams that there is a way you can forge them yourself so to speak, but I don't think they ever fully explained it.
Hoowever I do believe they mentioned the method involved finding one of those Orcs with the grey sallow skin and blue veins (like Zog if you've met him) and taking of one of their arms, but I don't know the specifics. There's probably a guide for it though. Good luck.
I have this guy from a spoils chest, othe rthan that in two play throughs and hundreds of hours I have found 4 necromancers total: 1 berserkers, 1 tracker and 2 tricksters. I have yet to even see The Tower other than invading other player's forts. Just a few Pretenders who are all terrified of spiders and thus basically useless.
