Necromancer Orc

I just got intel on every captain in every region and I don't have a single necromancer in any of the regions... Nor do I have an orc named gravewalker. Are necromancers really THIS rare or is my game just broken?

Nice, so kinda like my 'Of the Spiders' captain that's a spider summoner. And the den mother Ghul one. Are there more 'special' captains?

Theres the Tower, The Dark One and probably more

ps: Do the necromancer's eyes glow green by any chance? Seem to remember something very necromancy about the one that was one

Necromancers are rare depending on their Title and Class, as well as being in the Mystic Tribe or not.


I've seen 3 Necromancers so far in 1-2 sittings between 2-3 hours, of which the titles I have seen Necromancers have are:

- The Crafty
- The Gravewalker
- The Warlock

But I have ALSO noticed that all of these Necromancers I had and the many Necromancers on Streams and Videos ARE TRICKSTERS, thus it is likely that only Mystic Trickers can actually be Necromancers if they have the Titles that allow them to have the Necromancer Trait.


P.S: I'm doing a Guide on how, what and when Necromancers appear and can be utilised, I'll link into the steam discussions when it's done :)

I come by necromancers left and right but have never encountered the tower :<..

I usually upgrade the necro's to legendary, so here's my contribution. Will show that most of the theories out there are wrong.

Tribe/armor/name Doesnt matter. only thing -all- necromancers share is darker veins and red eyes

Oh, I was under the impression the Necromancer was its own advanced class. Was wonder why in 70+ hours of gameplay I never met one, but quite afew with the trait "necromancer". I was also curious as to why Zog was a trickster, lol

I agree with you that all "theories" out there is just made up and not really accurate, BUT the eye part you mention doesn't float either. The pictures you posted have different eyes so you can't say that they have red eyes in common. :) My necros have not had the same eye type either. But yeah; name, tribe and name doesn't matter at all! Agree.

Edit: By red eyes you maybe ment red, yellow and red/yellow- ish? My bad in that case!

So far i've not come across any other type of Necromancer that isn't either a Dark, Mystic nor anything but an Assassin, Trickster or Tracker, so overall there's a few ways you could prematurely find a Necromancer.


Overall, it seems that the Necromancer Trait has percentage priorities of which type of Captain the Trait is given to, primarily Dark/Mystic with Assassins, Trackers and Tricksters.

Sounds about right. Something I wonder though is if the region matter - if there's a region with higher % spawn rate. I'm currently going at it in Minas Morgul where I got my last one.

They do seem to be rare I just got my first recently and as for the tower I unfortunately ran into him during a fortress defense and won before I was able to recruit him

Uh something I haven't seen anyone mention is that every necromancer shown is Cursed. That's probably the prerequisite for having a necromancer.

Only have one Orc, Mystic siege during one of the act 4 defenses, Warlock titled necromancer was one of the captain backups.

Just something to add, but they are not ALL Tricksters.

I actually found a Commander who has necromancy! Though, I don't remember if he died after the assault I found him in, or what... Since I can now not seem to find him. Q Q
