Visual Effects from Shadow of Mordor I Miss.
Some personal wishful things I wish would make a return for Shadow of War, but which seems to be missing or replaced in the latest videos.

I kinda miss the constant glowing blue eyes on my dominated minions, which gave them this almost undead army kind of feel. Wish and hope there is a way for me to reinstate this when the game comes out. Like being able to absolutely dominate a poor Uruk's mind until he can't think a single thought on his own without my say so. It was so satisfying how you could turn once proud Uruks into basically mindless thralls, and if one could do this in Shadow of War as a punishment or execution(of their mind at least), I would just love that.
If this could be an upgrade you could turn on or off that could be nice, for those that don't like that glow effect for whatever reason.

I also miss the ghostly flame effect when doing the Wraith Flash AOE fire attack. Those regular orange flames used in Shadow of War just does not feel otherworldly and supernatural enough, after I got used to the ghostly blueish flames used in Shadow of Mordor.
Maybe there is a way to change the cosmetic effect when the game comes out, I really hope so.

And I really miss the ghostly flames/mist when using Wraith Stun. The new ice effect is cool, but I really wish the old effects did not have to be scrapped in its stead. Maybe combining them would look cool.

Anyone else miss these old ghostly effects?

Personally, I didn't really like the glowing eyes. But they've got their charms.

1. If there was a sort-of Undead Army thing going on, why would the Uruk keep it's personality same as before. Sure, it may not be highlighted as much with the first game some much as well... "BRIGHT LORD, DARK LORD? ALL THE SAME TO ME REALLY!" It just seems to me like it would make more sense for an Uruk to not be a mindless drone if they keep their personality in such a way.

2. The GOOD thing about the glowing eyes (not to mention the giant handprint) was the Friend-or-Foe recognition. Right off the bat you could tell if it was a friendly Uruk, or one that'll squeal when you try to gut them with a broken sword.

Yes, I miss the blue-ish flames and effects from it.

Well, I'm ok with new type of branding, but...

Wraith flame - looked cool and otherworldly; wish they kept it:-(

Same with stun ability. I prefer if Ice was separate ability or added weapon effect via runes.

Also, I don't like the look of daggers. In SoM they looked like, well, ghostly daggers, now they look like white lines imo.

I do prefer how they have made the branded enemies more unaware of they are serving the Bright Lord unwillingly since they can put personality into them. Be a little weird to have those glowing eyes and them acting pretty chill about it.

Glad we don't need to see the glowing hand print it looked tacky in my opinion.

I some what agree with the wraith powers being switched with elemental ice and fire. But I guess it is to add more options which never really hurts. Who know the classic stuff might still be in there.

Yes, I know it is still in the game, I meant the effect of it, the visuals.

Well, can't all agree on something being cool, which is why I kinda wish there were customisation options.

Well, by "undead army" I meant they all looked possessed or undead, due to the glowing blue eyes. Just seen so many fantasy versions of undead with blue glowing eyes.
I didn't mean they were actually undead.

And yeah, I am finding it a bit hard to differentiate friend from foe in Shadow of War. Gets quite a bit chaotic, and apparently the resident tester at Monolith is also struggling with that.

Yeah, nothing quite like some ghostly spectral flames.

I agree with your points.

Well, yeah, I agree, that was kinda weird, how they acted, but I still loved the visual effect.
Just wish I could purchase an upgrade to have that return, or being able to use an ability to purge the free will from one of my branded Captains, Warchiefs or Overlords, complete with the visual effect to signal it.

Hopefully the classic stuff is still in there somewhere, I hope so.
