Character Randomly Dodge Roll while Running.
I'm having this strange issue, I'm not sure if it's my controller or the game.
When I'm running which requires us to hold A. My character at times would just randomly Dodge Roll. Which is if you Press A without holding it. But I'm holding onto A really firmly but it just Dodge Roll....

Sometimes it will do it like twice. Or sometimes when I was running, holding down A.
I let go of A ( stop running ), my character will Dodge Roll...as if I click A again....

Is anyone else facing this problem ?? Sometimes I can run for miles without this happening.
It's like tend to happen more when I trying to steer left or right. If it's just straight line, smooth surfaces, doesn't seem to happen or least I notice it doesn't during this kind of situations.

It's not normal and it does sound like a faulty A button.

Yeah, maybe the button is just a bit to sensitive , happened with my former pad. I assume when you want to change direction you lose a bit of grap in it and you end up rolling.
Better change pad. Rolling like a pig for hours can be troublesome for a button xd.

hmm only with this game or for every games you play with pad?

Yep I think it's my bad, actually most my buttons also rather sensitive. I notice it now, just like you said. I used the Windows built in testing, I notice the button double tap at times. If I do move my finger around the A even if I had it holding. Seems like the button is bit worn, but if I just hold it really really firm it's fine.

As you said maybe because I was moving my stick as well, so my hand sort of moved.
I notice my other buttons too do that actually...but not as easily. If I just let go bit of pressure, it will double tap the buttons. But as said on A it's lot easier.

O well, controller is bit old though ( but not that old ) maybe I will just ignore it for the time being.
It's not really that game breaking yet. Most other games still sort of fine. But I rarely play any other games that uses a controller and especially requires me to hold onto A so much.

Sadly, no. Most games I used KB and Mouse, I would have use KB and Mouse in this game as well but the controls were horrible. So I used a Controller it's much easier.

Actually I notice it, it's my controller. If there's bit of pressure off from the A button, it will like sort of double tap.
This is why when I'm moving in different directions it only happens, since my entire hand sort of shifting.

Well, i had the same with previous pad but when it will be X button, you will HAVE to change. And SOW is merciless for this button lol.

Yeah I guess I would need to, but maybe in next few more Months.
Such a shame, overall I didn't have issues with it playing Forza Horizon, but of course different buttons being abused lol...

If your controller has been in storage for a while, it could be a temporary issue, perhaps a bit of tarnish on the internals. Give it a good workout or try to pull it apart and clean it if possible.

Ok tks for teh advice. Actually my Trigger before this was started to stick / stuck, since I did actually just kept it a side for a time, when I started using it again. But now it's gone lol....
Hopefully this is just a temporary thing as well.

It's not you. I bought a brand new controller and this happens. The reason I bought a new controller is because I thought the same thing. I'm using a Xbox One Series X controller. It's only this game too. I own two Xbox one controllers. The Xbox One and Series X and it happens on both.
