Question: when to start DLC expansions?
I tried googling it and didn't come with anything and could find out anything about the various dlcs timeline and so I am wondering when you should start it after the game is complete (shadow wars and everything) or start it any time.

Original when I bought SoW on console I had just base game and no DLC, but when I got it on pc I bought the gold edition on sale, which included all DLC so I am just wondering when I should start the DLC?

blade of galadriel takes place after the "true ending", that is after the main story and shadow wars

If you haven't finished the main game, I would do that first as the Blade of Galadriel ties in with Talion's story. Once those two are finished I would work on Desolation of Mordor to play as Baranor's path.

Agreed with these two. Game, Galadriel, Desolation.

Desolation was my favorite. Baranor can hold his own in a fight pretty well, gets plenty of new toys to play with, and can have up to 3 groups of mercs with him at the same time, meaning you've got an army at your back at all times.
You should wait until after you've completed the game (excluding the shadow wars) before starting the blade of galadriel DLC. and you can start Baranor's DLC after having completed his questline, since it doesn't tie into the main game.

Thanks everyone for the input, I figrued as much that the blade was after the main story or ties into sort of the ending, just wasn't sure on desolation, so I will wait till I complete the game (shadow wars included) and then I will mess with the DLC.

You don't actually need to complete the shadow wars before starting the Blade of Galadriel DLC since it takes place during the shadow wars.
