Can't Identify Orc Commanders Trail

Its been a while since I've played, wanted to have some fun so I started a new game. I just arrived to Minis Ithil right at after all the cut scenes and I got intel from a worm. After that you run up a hill and kill 4 orcs and there is a pile of arms/armor with a quest market to Find Orc Commanders Trail. Except it wont let me identify the tracks. I am in wraith world (V) and I am pressing X to identify, standing/crouching/walking around it and it wont trigger to let me identify the tracks. I also tried to set a secondary key bind but it doesn't work as well. Left the mission area so it would restart from the checkpoint but that doesn't work either. Kind of annoyed with it and I'm not sure why it isn't working.

So far I have also tried restarting the game, verifying file integrity and resetting key defaults. Cant find anything online about it either. Watched a walk through on youtube to see if I was missing something obvious but the only thing different is in the video they had a prompt in the bottom right corner to identify, my game isn't showing a prompt. Only thing else I can think of is reinstalling the game but I would rather not waste a couple hours doing that. Any one else have any suggestions?

Yea forgot to mention that I tried without wraith world active when I watched the youtube video...unfortunately I cant continue in the game because it is part of a quest so if I go forward to cross the bridge to go into the city, it causes me to lose the mission and it restarts at the last checkpoint.

It doesnt help me that you are using keyboard xd. Seems its not your first game so just to be sure, X is the same key as to catch an orc?
If even redoing quest doesnt help you should do a new game, not a big loss at this point.

No to catch and consume orcs the keybind is E, to Identify it is X, I have tried to change the keybind to something else and I have tried it on the default setting...I have tried starting a new game as well...I am going to be reinstalling the game while I'm at work today, hopefully when I get back it will work correctly

You should get a controller... everyone should for this game.
By catching i mean when you hold an orc and can throw him uh. Doesnt matter. With controller its same key as identifying but i think you know your keys.
New game should fixe it.
