What are your top 5 tips for end game talion players?
I'm level 50 and I use orange items and have a decent poison set. With extra poison damage and poison extension.

What are your top tips for builds and playstyles? I play in normal and I don't do so great while taking on large groups.

Use red and green perfect gems only. Use Vendetta gear or Outlaw gear. Get a perfect bodyguard. Play as stealth/ranged, because dying has serious consequences.

dont use elements like poison or fire, it can enrage some enemies

I use legendary outlaw armor to reduce damage from enraged enemies
epic sword gain 40 points health and 3 elf shot with execution
epic dagger to gain 15 elf shot when killing captain and stealth kill
mask of the undying, endless dash
legendary vendetta ring, 100% health with drain or domination

many prestige points in might and focus

you become invincible

Don't try to force victories. Get low on health? RUN!

You don't have to go man mode and tank a strong Uruk, think like a hunter.

Learn their weaknesses, brutalize with hatred(forgot full name, its the one that gives double might and hitstreak on brutulize) to build might, swap your talents as needed( I use proxy trigger when I need it, most times I keep it on contagion), Chip them down with element empowered mighty shot.

Basically, don't play fair.

Vendetta set is pretty good(especially the dagger) so give vendetta a try.

Use the pit fights to earn money(at max level the most useless white item should net you bout 200 mirian, and whites get rare in pit. You also net xp for losing and replacing captains for legacy skills).

I said this before but this is a BIG thing, swap abilities as needed. Talion does not have to be hard set with one build or ability. EVERY ability is a tool to be used, what you have on now is just what your currently using. See an uruk with fear of spiders? summon them with shelobs guard ability or the campfire detonate ability. You need to do this because your flexibility is your greatest asset(late game uruks don't care how much health you have, they can still 1-2 shot you).

Immune to execution does not mean immune to regular sword strike, ground stab, or glaive. Just because an uruk is immune to executions does not mean you can't face him down and kick his ass.

Don't be too gun ho with your might, save at least a bar for emergency consume. Also don't rush aiming it if your going for multi consume, don't dally either but don't rush it. Its the best way to waste it on an olog or captain.
Thanks !!! "For legacy skills" what do you mean here?

i use change to get max might on hit very op against captains

Use gear that reduces the duration of f.e. poison by 90%, use also gear that let you gain health while cursed. This way you are nearly immune against elemental attacks. Use groups of grunts to charge your might and rage, use it then against captains, warchiefs and overlords. Allways press both mouse buttons in infights, so you automatically block the most attacks. Use short and hard attacks against strong orcs, use their weaknesses against them. Lure the grunt away from the captains / warchiefs and attack the captains / warchiefs when they are more or less alone. It's really easy.

Most of your struggles are going to be tied around Might generation as basic attacks generate pitiful amounts of it. Look at your gear and look for items that generate might. A common choice is to use 2 pc of Dark Legendary set for might generation on poison attacks. There are several good Epic/orange pieces as well and you'll want to stack as many of these as possible to cover different scenarios (single target vs large groups). Basically, if you want to handle large groups of enemies or tough captains, you need might, which means you need the right gear for it.

If you are struggling with health, use green gems on sword and dagger. Basic attacks with these weapons will help you to regen health in combat. Also, you have on demand health restoration through skills such as dominate/drain.

Adjust to your own playstyle and strengths. Since you don't handle groups well, don't even try. Instead pick them off via stealth and bow. Use the various items like barrels, bait, spider eggs to distarct and weaken. You're a >Ranger<. Act like one.

Make sure to go ahead and finish up all the sidequests. Being able to summon a drake is a HUGE quality of life enhancer. And having the one that improves gem drops is as well.

Green gems on sword for some steady healing. Red on dagger/bow. Red or green on armor/cloak depending on how well you are surviving. White only only ever on Runes, and then only if you are actively recruitimg for garrisons. I usually run with a green in runes to keep my allies in the fight.

Start hunting legendaries/doing dailies that give them. A good way to do this is online seiges. You can try to rely on the random slot machine for orange items, but purples are almost all good and the set bonuses can alter the nature of play. IMHO the most fun set comes from finishing act III.

For harvesting mirian, don't bother with marauder set (it's not really about making money, its about crushing a mob of uruks) or pit fights (far too slow for the payout). Online vendettas and seiges give decent chests in addition to all the normal loot dropped PLUS give spoils of war which indirectly reduces your mirian needs.

green gems in all weapons to heal when attacking
white gems in cloak and armor for more xp

  • The full Warmonger set is super fun. You get heals when on fire, you heal when things on fire die, you release very frequent explosions while on fire that also serve to stagger those captains that are fire immune, etc.. Essentially, the set makes you an incendiary immortal as long as the whole bloody place is burning down around you.
  • The "quick throw replenishes elf shot every X seconds" weapon trait is super effective when paired with the perk that has through a burst of about 4 or 5 daggers. All of them proc the effect at once, which can give you up to four or five arrows if you aim it right.
  • If you see an gear trait that gives might on kills, keep it. Why? Fire off a mighty shot into a pack of grunts or ghuls and see why, you'll likely get the might used back immediately.
  • Be extra careful with assassins during seiges. Because of their "No Chance" perk, all they need is one lucky hit to win the day, and that'll easily throw you into a lot of trouble after that.
  • Spend some time & mirian to level up your bloody captains as your playing, especially before seiges. Trust me, it'll save you a whole lot of frustration and bother down the line.

Thanks for the tips guys. Is there a way I can remove a mount from a captain.?

Also what is a fast way to remove some captains to make space?
A man Aug 15, 2018 @ 4:55am
Quickest is destroy for gear in Garrison menu. Best is throw em in online pit.
Othobrithol Aug 15, 2018 @ 5:40am
Have em fight champions in the pit (you might get a good random uruk to recruit).
Shame them and then kill them.
Send them on suicide missions against much more powerful orcs.

What difficulty can I play in order to die a little to enjoy the nemesis system but without having to spend 10 minutes killing each captains? Easy mode is too easy
