Cant progress legendary gear

Is it supposed to be like that ? I have to recruit an orc from DLC tribe that I dont own and so I cant progress the gear upgrade

Is this DLC gear ? If so how its possible that I got it despite the fact that I dont own tribe DLC ?

Did you recruit him during online Vendetta or Online seige? If so that may be how. If you need to recruit a slaughter or outlaw tribe orc the best thing I can tell you is to keep doing online battles untill you find a quailfer or get the needed DLC to meet the requirement. Good luck! :)

most likely you got the gear from a lootbox or from killing an orc in an invasion or vendetta quest. if you don't have the DLC, you'll have to look to invasion and vendetta quests yourself to try and find more orcs of that tribe sadly.

plus side is that once you recruit them, they go to your garrison and can be implanted into your world no problem, so even if they're not the right level when you recruit them, you SHOULD be able to level them up enough for it to count. If that doesn't work, try shunning them so they're enemies, death-threating them so they gain a few levels, and then recruiting them again. that should do it i think.

then find some more!

I see, that's probably how I got that gear, from killing an orc in online. Kinda sucks not being able to progress it outside of randomly hoping for a good roll now in online. I guess that it has to be a bug in the first place, getting that DLC gear without owning DLC

i'm not sure how the mechanics of it work, but you might be able to grab one DLC orc in an online quest, and then just use him again and again for gear missions. when the gear says you need to recruit him at lvl 20, make him an eney and recruit him again. then maybe you can do the same thing when it requires you to recruit a member of that tribe at lvl 55. idk.

will need to kill different orcs if you want the full set though. you need to kill a legendary member of each class in order to get everything.

I BELEIVE the system is;
Slayer = Sword
Assassin = Dagger
Marksman = Bow / hammer
Tank = Armor
Beastmaster = Cloak
Commander = Ring

Not sure what berserkers, destroyers, and tricksters drop now that i think about it. Think i killed a Trickster and got a sword? so it might be that you have multiple options for some gear, destroyers might drop hammers, and berzerkers also drop swords or maybe daggers? Not sure.
