New update = restart Shadow Wars

I started this week at the 9th stage of the Shadow Wars, then the update happened, and I must restart all the sieges

yes, this is how it was announced by the developers a long time ago. The changes they have done to the shadow wars made it necessary to reset it for everyone wich has not already finished it at the time the update got released.

There is only 3 stages to the shadow wars now which is 5 defences from what other players have been saying. You'll get some cool gear for beating the 3 stages of shadow wars. When I played the shadow wars, stage 9 and 10 had 10 fortress defences in total where as the 3 stages now has 5. You maybe restarting but if you were still in stage 9 when the update hit, you'd have less fortress defences to do to beat the game then if you kept going without the update.

Good thing all my warchief were level 50+, I won all the defenses.
It took me entire afternoons to win one defense, and today I finished in an afternoon/evening 5 defenses.

Finally, this update isn't so bad. And I got the mask of the unnamed Nazguls

Yeah that is what kind of drove me away back when I owned it on console, was at maybe stage 6 or so, was I think lvl 57-58? But got sick of the endless shadow wars so I just quit playing it.

I then bought the gold edition on pc when it was on sale this past may when they had the free weekend (was able to test it and it worked on my rig) and so far I a only lvl 38 and still in act 2?

But from what I am reading it sounds better, and like others have said it was know from the start that unless you finished shadow wars your shadow wars would reset.
