Thanks! I just tried that. It does keep temps around 70-75 now. But man, is it loud! My other card (1070) is so silent and cool in comparison, even with this game.
I've noticed the clock seems to increase itself close to 2000mhz, despte the clock should be around 1500mhz. I haven't overclocked this card, nor I intend to. I'm guessing this is normal for the 1080ti? Sorry, I am just getting used to this thing.
I was doing some research. The thing has somthing called GPU Boost 3.0. It increases the clock automatically until it reaches certain temperature. So the more you cool it, the more it will push itself. Decreasing the temp limit in Afterburner seems to control this. Mine was set at 80c. I have decreased the limit by 10 degrees and the card will stay way cooler now.
