Heh...I got over the need to punish my self doing my sl1 run through DS. I won't embarass myself by saying how many hours it took me to defeat O&S... Personally I'm looking forward to the Brutal mode, I don't look to games like SoW (read AAA) for difficluty and intricate combat mechanics any more precisely because of DS. That was a different kind of difficulty that was truly rewarding to overcome, something other than "wow these guys hit hard." Brutal mode though sounds like it adds *intensity* rather than just difficulty, which I totally welcome.
One of the things we're hoping players will incorporate into their tactics more are the new Mercenary traits that can add depth to your tactical approach to combat. You can send a Mercenary ahead of you to stun a Captain, or taunt to pull multiple enemies, or focus on one enemy, etc. So you have more options setting up the encounter before you charge in, and Brutal difficulty should be an enjoyable extra facet to that.
May you take away the one tick limit of Orc captain quest from Gravewalker and Brutal difficulty?
Legendary orcs die so fast, I cannot refill dead slots with new legendary orc captains in four regions at the same time.
