How to Get Unique Orcs
Hi. Recently I've been playing through Shadow of War once again and I'm trying to get a complete collection of all the unique orc types in the game. I know how to get ones that require you to kill an orc with fire or poison etc, but I have no idea how many types of unique orcs there are and how to get all of them to spawn/create them. I've searched for a wiki page or a discussion page about this stuff but all the ones I've found were either incomplete or unhelpful, so if anyone has a complete list or a link to a complete list that also explains how to get them, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Should have been more specific. I'm really only looking for the orcs and ologs that have aquired titles and ones from cheating death, like Stormbringer, Flame of War, Specter, and so on, as well as how to get them.

The question is: What is an unique orc for you? Brûz is unique, a tower, a poet or a singer are not unique. There are only a hand full of really unique orcs. The orcs from the Galadriel dlc f.e. and there are some orcs you cannot recruit like Zog, Ratbag, Gravewalker, Baz, Gaz and Daz.

I think he wants one orc of every possible combination of tribes and classes. I don't know if legendary/epic or any orc will do.

As for tribes, the legendary gear overview shows these ones (I don't own any DLC so I might be missing 2):

Dark
Feral
Machine
Marauder
Mystic
Terror
Warmonger

And these classes:

Slayer
Assassin
Tracker
Marksman
Tank
Destroyer
Beastmaster
Berserker
Commander
Trickster

And the types or damage that some orcs have are Fiery, Poisonous and Cursed as far as I know.

As for which type spawns, either as unknown captain or a grunt that killed you; it seems to be pretty random.

I should have been more specific. By unique, I didn't mean ones that are once per playthrough, like Zog or Brûz, I meant the ones that have a unique look that stands apart (The Tower, the Grog-Maker, the Gluttonous etc, which I know just spawn randomely, just trying to find out how many there are so I know when I've got them all) and the ones that have special requirements (The Blight, The Flame of War, Stormbringer etc)

Essentially I just want a list of those types of orcs and ologs so I know when I've got them all in my army. Sounds stupid I know, and I might be asking for a lot with a complete list, but that's just the way I like to play this game. Mainly, though, I just want to know the ones that are spawned from cheating death and aquiring titles.

There are hundreds of different orcs. Some are more interesting, some are less. There are several variations of a single orc type. The unashamed f.e. is one of the first orcs you shame in the campaign. He can be completely different in a another playthrough. Some of these orcs have a unique look, some have unique traits, some have a unique kind to talk ... to lisping f.e., some have unique sayings.

the machine (must do finisher where you cut them in half at waist)
the stitch ( finisher where you cut his head off) (olog only?)
the pain lover (metal shoved under his skin looks realy rad , random i think)

so im guessing this is the kind of orcs you want is the ones that died but came back Unique some can be really rare i mean over 100 hours and i saw maybe two of the the machine and the stitch titles, i dont think theres a list anywhere yet, the variation is crazy good and fun tho.

EDIT: also lvl 60 online pitfights is a good place to see some random Unique orcs that people have collected

Yea you're right. Most of the "cool looking" orcs just spawn rendomely but there is a special type of orc/olog for each type of death they can have besides just a regular kill right? And I also read somewhere that In order to get those kind of orcs you have to first be killed by them and then for the revenge you have to kill them with fire or poison or whatever. Any truth to that?
I already have a Machine and a Stitch, and there was a Flame of War but he died. I'm not too sure about the Stitch or FoW killing me first, but I know the Machine did, but I have no idea if that's why they became special or not.

im not too sure i would have to try that i cant recall if they killed me first but i dont think they did , if it does maybe it increases chances of them poping up.

There is a Player Interaction Score system, where the longer an Orc or Uruk survives fighting you, and has more interactions with you, the higher chance they have of cheating death. So fighting an Orc a few times, having him kill you a couple of times or having them escape a fight, will increase the chances of them surviving death.

i wanted to ask about if it matters when u dom them and add them to your ranks.. does it make them stronger or look diifferent? if they die do the ppl who killed them get the loot? iam almost to that point and would like 2 know b4 hand

@k9 dont forget the undying which is normaly unlocked randomly by killing a cursed enemie.
Also the spider guy normaly spawns if killed by spiders i had 1 that i killed 4 times before he finaly stayed dead,
(tho the kill record whent to a plague bringer i had to kill him 13 times for him to finaly die)

To force someone to cheat death you simplely need to get their cheat death counter up,
Run away from them increases it by 5-15%,
Dieing to them increases it by 10-20%,
Talking to them increases it by 5-10%,
Betraying them increases it by 20-30%
The above numbers get lower and lower the more cheated deaths/betrayals you'v had in the game tho it normaly does not start going down til about your 5th.

You can use this knowledge to try and get some really interesting orcs that are missing all limbs and are covered head to toe in scars.

There are 4 orcs i know of that have a 50% chance of cheating death as a default value,
The machine,
the stitch,
The undying,
The immortal
Rather sure i saw a 5th added in at some point but as i havent run across them in either playthrough i cant comment on them.

Just remember each time they come back they will be stronger and it can get really out of hand,
The plague bringer started off crazy easy but by the end each fight took 20 mins due to immunity to nearly everything and enraged by everything.

What really bugs me is in 2 playthroughs i havent seen a single necromancer orc outside of the mission one.

I think it's absurd that a guy can survive getting decapitated or cleaved in half. I threw a guy into lava and he cheated death.

BTW, best way to kill a guy permanently if he keeps coming back is to recruit him, send him to garrison and kill for loot.

@messcrob the best way to ensure he cant come back if have your guys kill him in a target mission i'v never seen them come back afterwards as long as i did nothing myself including not being spotted.

I'm a little late for this, but you can indeed recruit Gravewalker, i have him after i shamed him some times his Iron Will vanished. You can probably do the same with the... Bruz avenger squad
