Stuck at 60fps, with uncapped frame rate, on 144Hz monitor
As title says. ........ In SoW settings, I have frame rate cap off. No v-sync.

I am stuck at 60 fps no matter what. GPU and CPU not maxed out. FPS counter on solid 60fps.

It might be because I am running MSI Afterburner. I have seen that make a 60fps cap before.

I saw before though, that if I minimised a game that was 60fps capping, with Afterburner. When I maximised, the game was then running at full speed.

However, I can not minimise Shadow of War. When I hit alt-tab, it doesn't minimise. It stays almost full screen, but I can see the task-bar.

You can try to minimize the game by Alt-Tab 'ing out and then hit Win + D (show desktop) or Win + M (minimize all).

I'm not familiar with Afterburner. I have an NVidia GTX 1080 Ti and use Nvidia Inspector to tweak configuration settings. If it were me, I would look there if I were getting an fps cap issue.

I found it.

I went back into settings I noticed it was in 'borderless'. ... Immediately I put it fullscreen, (because that's what I always use), the 60fps cap disappeared.

My frame rate varies, However even when it's running at only 75fps, it's a lot smoother than when it was 60fps locked. ......... Being locked at 60fps, had quite a negative effect, like regular stuttering, with no frame rate drop. Just stuttering.

Thank you for the Win D shortcut. I never knew that.
