Shadow of war file size? Thinking about a purchase
Atm i am deciding between shadow of war and pillars 2 deadfire. I know very different games but i like both gernes and highly enjoyed shadow of mordor. My problem atm is - i have pretty bad connection, so it will take a wile to download it with 1mb/s. How much do I need to download? Would you advice to get it ? :D

The game is about 106 gb when installed without the optional 4k cinematics and textures. I don't know how big the download for this actually is.

The game is currently the largest I've ever downloaded by Steam, it's 94 GB if I'm not wrong

It depends on what you plan on running the game on. If you're not gaming higher then 1080p, the HD texture/4K cinematic pack does pretty much nothing but waste your fps. Without the two texture packs it's about 105GB but with them it's about 137GB. Plus the Desolation of Mordor takes an extra 25-30 gigs to install properly for some reason.

This that free weekend (106 GB) include all DLCs like Galadriel etc? Because I remember I played that in past (without dlc) and it took not as much space on HDD. I bought this game in pre order, but without DLC.

yes, all dlc except of the 4k stuff is included in the 106 GB, thats the sice of the games folder on my pc and i dont have the 4k stuff installed.

Yes, but people which playing on free weekend saying "There's only ACT 1 to play" and the same is here https://store.steampowered.com/news/40022/, so this is mean even if will download whole game, then people can't play more than ACT 1 and I can't play DLCs like Galadriel? If they not unable to play DLCs Galadriel in this free weekend, then it's without sense to download :/

Yes, you'll can play when purchase like always own this game. Your save file, your achievements, which you get when play on free weekend, everything you'll have, so if not played earlier this game, then can try free weekend and later when buy, then have all your progress from free weekend.

you have to download the dlc anyway even if you only buy the main game the dlc get downloaded regardless if you own it or not.

Ok, but will I can play that DLCs like Galadriel or just game will download it, but I'll can't play it, because I not purchased that? It'll be very not good to download 100 GB just to see I can't play xD The same like people which not purchase game will download this 100 GB but can play only ACT 1 even if downloaded whole game, all ACTs xD

you can only play what you have bought, if you own the main game you can play the maingame, if you onw the blades of galadriel dlc and the maingame you can play the blades of galadriel dlc and the maingame but not the desolation of mordor dlc, if you own the tribe dlcs you can use the tribes, if you own all dlc you can play all dlc.

The dlcs get downloaded but you cant play them if you dont have bought them or a version of the game which contains them.
