Efficient way to level up orcs?
post game spoilers

Doing the post game stuff and it says the attacking forces captains are around level 45 but my low level defenders are around level 20 to 30. I’ve branded everyone on the map and have some level 45+ orcs now but I’m wondering what the best ways to build up levels are.

The arenas?

Earning gold by killing captains and selling the item to buy levels?

Letting them kill you then taking them back?

Again, everyone on the map is under my control now so I guess if I make them fight in the arena a higher level captain will fill the empty spot I can dominate? I’m using the fully upgraded wealth gem in my ring to get +5 levels when I brand too

EDIT: so if I understand, I can grab a high level orc from another map and garrison/transfer them to any fort I like? I never really tried the garrison mechanic

EDIT 2: some good gold earning tips would be appreciated too. Is gold the reward for online based missions?

Hey, I just assign a low level captain to kill the highest level enemy captain on the map. Lets say a level 40 ally assigned to kill a level 85 enemy. Then join the mission and destroy the 85 yourself as-fast-as-possible. The level 40 will gain easily 20+ levels. Once they are above 70 I use the training orders as they are super cheap too.

For money use all white gems, the Marauder legendary set, and a summon drake to hunt down treasure orcs on the map. Pick 2 high population locations and farm it up. Even better do it in an online conquest and ignore the timer so it auto collects. Don't worry about doing to much this unless you find it fun. Any content you do will earn you a lot. I like online conquest as you earn gear chest with 5 pieces worth around 350+ each when destroyed for currency and many other rewards.

For upgrades its a good idea to use the epic skill upgrade that immensely increase damage of a captain on them first before any others. Then make them legendary or leave them at that. Its 3500 currency for that training upgrade and improves a white orc to an orange with a huge bonus. To make legendary orc earn spoils of war chest rather than pay currency. You get these from online content: Overlord pitfight, vendettas, and conquest. Upgrading yours conquest rating and improve and even double the amount you get. Check it by going in game to the menu and click on 'online' then the 'view rating' button shown at the bottom. :lunar2019wavingpig:

Garrison is awesome! Use it as much as possible!

waou you can go in post game around lvlv 40 xd 190 hours lost for me. To get gold you should do what the hungry guy above said but also put a white gem on your dagger (at least) so each assassination could get you money. But yeah you will wind up being a massive seller and do training order xd. Sad life for fortress orks. And indeed you can transfert ork in others regions (everyone in your control isnt a good idea xd) but be aware garrison is quite buggy. My bro lost an Olog trying to transfer it xd but never happened to me.

Great advice, thanks. I’m level 50 on gravewalker difficulty doing the base defence missions. My current gold earned has been online vendettas where I (try and) kill as many captains as possible and sell the gear I get.

Also I’ve been doing the fight pits with the money bonuses

I don’t mind ‘grinding’ when the gameplay is fun and challenging, doing the same thing over and over with no challenge is boring but on gravewalker beating most level 50 captains feels like a huge accomplishment

Just wanted to give an update that I've been doing online invasions and earning a lot of loot to sell by killing captains and getting gold/silver/bronze loot chests, which I then sell and invest back into my own forces. Seems the most fun way to get more cash

How it is? You take each points with War chief and their bodyguards? seem tedious xd. And if you play in your gravewalker thing they are at this difficulty? And i guess deads are dead xd?

Yeah the enemy is still as tough as in my singleplayer experience since I'm on gravewalker. The only difference is I'm allowed a couple of last chances when attacking online where you don't get any in singleplayer unless you level it up.

You attack another player's fort and take points, kill (for loot to use/sell) or brand (to put in your garrison/pokemon pc box thing to deploy in any region you like). When all points are taken and warchiefs killed you fight the overlord.

The quicker you do it the better loot chest you earn, and after enough online experience you level up and get a special loot chest.

If your followers die in an online conquest, yes they will stay dead but since it's post game you can resurrect them as undead, you just can't level them up anymore is all.

I just really like the gameplay as on GW difficulty you have to play a lot more carefully, so the fort stuff is just an excuse for me to play like it's fantasy LOTR metal gear solid 5 with base building and kidnapping/recruiting staff/orcs I like

Not sure about transfering him over, but if someone attacks your base you don't lose anything, it's basically a 'simulation' of your defences, and if they recruit/kill your orcs it doesn't effect your own game. Not sure if that used to be the case before patches but it is now. Also if you go to online conquest mode and head to the friendly conquest list you can invade friends or your own base (with your own orcs, it's pretty mind-bendy) with no concequences. You don't lose any orcs that die or earn loot/orcs you have kidneapped but you earn some experience

It just feel awkward if lets say You invade my Nurnein fort with weakling lvl 20 xd. But yeah i know, no loss for me. I guess matchmaking will prevent it xd will try when will get used to this difficulty and when will find more Darkness guys xd hard to find. To bad cant exchange pokemon uh. Damn at some point i had 2 total enraged who litteraly destroyed my own fort. If someone tried to invade me there he should be dead from laughing xd.
