What the Heck Does the HUD Even Mean?
So I just started playing this game less than 24 hours ago. It's incredibly confusing and terribly explained. I've been playing games for the last 30 years or so and despite the fact that it's a really well put together game, the explanation isn't there and the tutorial system freezes the GUI and only allows you a single keystroke to progress, which isn't how the GUI works the rest of the time...

For example, the difference between Terrorize, Terrify, and Brutalize? I think the first one is actually something I could do while draining but I don't have the storyline skill unlocked yet, (although I have items requiring me to do it in order to keep them at my level), the second one is triggered based off of hero specials and brutalize is just a third terrifying effect based on a skill. I could still be wrong on that. There's no real appendix to explain game terminology, despite the fact that there's sort of an encyclopedia of stuff you've discovered called appendices.

My biggest complaint would have to be the HUD. There are other posts here and here but even these fail to actually explain the HUD:

So the HUD seems to have a lot of items built around the minimap which I don't get.

Red semi-ring on left is Health
Blue Semi-Ring on right is Might? Maybe?
Grey/Silver horizontal bar on bottom right is Focus for shooting arrows
The blue number count before is the number of arrows Current/Max
The two dots in the bottom left do I have no idea what??
Above the top of the minimap there's a segment of a ring and the left side is orange and the right side looks red. I have no idea what either side does. One of them must be Wrath? Maybe I have Might and Wrath backwards?

Execute, Elven Light, Mighty Shot, and Consume all say that they can be used when Might is full. Might seems to come from items in a variety of ways (even taking damage). Elven Rage seems to use Wrath, and it says you get wrath when you KILL orcs.

Quick Throw seems to be infinite and not use any resource?
Ice Storm doesn't mention a resource but I have no idea when i'm going to freeze with E, since it happens really rarely. No idea how to proc it or what resource it uses.
Poison Tendril doesn't say it uses Elf-Shot (arrows) but Shadow Strike does. I guess I'll test it to find out.

Anyway, some well organized post that actually explains what each resource is and how it's colour coded in this magical HUD would be greatly appreciated.

I can help a bit. You can terrify an orc grunt with draining and without the story upgrade, so the specific target starts running. The concept is lowering your enemies morale so they they retreat from battle --you can use this in your advantage around your equipment or skill set for various reasons like chain stealth or stealth drain or have less enemies around you i.e.. Curse element works similarly Terror set also. But yes you got the main idea correctly and you gonna have less trouble facing captains knowing how to battle against them.

Yes about the HUD all is corrrect and wrath/might are backwards. Blue semi ring on the right is Wrath used for elven rage and enraging your captains. Above the minimap the orange/red bar are both might segments (red one filling after orange) when both of them are full you perform a brutal execution which causes heavier damage and also terrorizes when kills.
The bottom left dots are the second chances you are given to stand up when you are about to be killed, And they fill when you fast travel

Execution : yes
Quick Throw: yes
Freezing comes from ehm 2 skills: Ice Storm main skill or Hammer of Eregion subskill.
also equipment causes freezing. E stuns in default
Posion tendril - Shadow Strike: yes

Here are some guides maybe you will find anything usefull, and sorry if I overextended
