Nazgul Sisters
How did the Nazgul sisters (Yuka & Riya) manage to defeat two of the Nazguls in a conventional way by direct conflict ?

I don't think there's anything strictly forbidding that. I'd guess the power of Celebrimbors Ring made it a whole lot easier to banish a Wraith, however, I remember that in Return of the King, Eowyn killed the Witch King of Angmar - without having any special powers.

I'm assuming killing a Nazgul isn't impossible for mortals... Rather extremely difficult.

Actually, it is impossible for mortals to kill a Nazgûl.
The only reason why Éowyn could kill the Witch King of Angmar was because he was injured by a Dúnedain dagger led by Merry, whose magic was deadly to the Witch King and made him mortal.

Damn. Didn't realize. Couldn't see it in the movie, just assumed it was any old dagger. Merry did injure his hand in some unexplained way after stabbing him in the back. Then of course there's the "No man can kill me" and both the Nazgul sisters as well as Eowyn not exactly being men... That'd be a "Martha" kind of plot twist so let's disregard...

Merry's injury by hurting the Witch King is - as far as I can tell - a result of the black magic that flowed through the Witch King.
Merry came into contact with this magic, which not only pulverized the sword, but also caused him terrible pain.

However, this whole "no man can kill me" should not really refer to the man, but rather to the totality of all mortals, because it was not possible for them.
