Shaming to remove Iron Will?
So just wondering about how high the chances are, I've got a super captain, who Id really like to make an Overlord because he would basically never ever lose, but he has iron will, and tbh I am not looking forward to the prospect of having to fight him multiple times to finally be able to recruit him. Seriously though, he is a work of art, id love to recruit him.

I think they are fairly high or I am just really lucky. Just remove Worse than Death trait and I don't think you will destroy him.

ok coool, lol now to figure out how to get him low enough to actually shame him.... going on killing me 4 times now X_X

You have two options, in fact. Orcs with Iron Will will ALWAYS lose this trait if you destroy their minds. They can get Iron Will again by any other means, though.

Anyways, if you don't care about his personality, using the Worse Than Death upgrade will make it easier to remove the Iron Will.

If you do care about his personality, just keep using the normal Shame and hope that you can remove it without destroying his mind.

But I shall warn you that if you choose the second option, it's probably going to take a REALLY LONG time. Unless you're lucky, of course.

Yeah you can shame him (no worse than death) three times in a row and he still have ironwill. Lady Fortuna always mess with us xd (luck)

oof, yeah I dont wanna have to fight him more than twice tbh. Normal tactics just dont work, and its completely unforgiving of any mistake. Making me pull some outside the box tactics, so I dont care if he becomes a drooling idiot, just want to have him on my team ;)

You must also take into account that worse than death sometimes even destroys the orc itself, rendering it useless. I've had that happen more than once, unfortunately.

What do you mean "destroy the orc"? He lose some traits thats it? But because he lose lot of lvl its normal isnt it?

Yeah, but there is a chance his immunities turn into vulnerabilities, which makes it virtually useless if the right ones are gone. A strong orc can very easily turn into a bad one through shaming.

Brrrr maybe op should give up this one... He is that good lol?

lets see, he is immune to ranged, executions, beasts, poison and frost. Enraged by everything, so he is constantly going into non-counterable relentless attacks. He is advanced class tank so he has crazy high health, savage counter, so you cant attack him from the front. Poisoned weapon which basically can 2 shot me, and ohh yeah, epic determination so whenever I do finally take a chunk of his health out, if I make one mistake or lay off of him he heals back to full. He has no weaknesses, mortal or regular, and no fears. Only thing that really does do damage to him are stealth attacks and fire, only problem is stealth only works for the first 1/3 of his health, because he starts to heal before I can get in position for another stealth attack. He also has whatever that ability is where if you attack them from behind they do like a curse explosion, so only time I can hit him more than once is if he gets lit on fire, which is hard because its almost impossible to lure him to explosives as if I give him the chance to he will heal. Im honestly considering turning difficulty down from nemesis just to be able to beat him.

Is that true? I have never seen that before. Are you sure this isn't because the orc is low level? I mean, it's pretty common when you're shaming an orc to have him get mortal vulnerabilities because his level descended too much, but he always goes back to normal once he regains his levels.

I have never seen an orc get "destroyed" like that, permanently.

Have you tried sending three of your orcs battle him? One thing in this game that makes defeating orcs a piece of cake, at least in your own world, is making the enemy fight a 3v1.

You don't even have to interfere. If your orcs aren't bad, they will overwhelm the enemy pretty easily.

Since this one has Enraged By Everything, I recommend sending defenders or even berserkers to fight him.

yeah, he actually mows down other orcs pretty quicly, thinking about setting a satrong captain I dont mind losing as bodyguard for help next try though

You know, I just noticed this guy is NOT immune to stealth, right?

There's an upgrade that makes your pinning shot scare away enemy grunts. You can use the pinning shot on an enemy, stealth attack this same enemy (or another one) and stealth-chain the captain.

If he's not immune to fire, you can bring a Destroyer with a fire weapon to help you, since he will be throwing fire bombs at the enemy.
