You sure there will be a sequel?

Theyll probably make another shadows game, though I doubt it will be a sequel, as Talions story is pretty much explained up to the end of the movie trilogy. Theres tons of material to work with though, so who knows maybe we'll see a shadows of angmar, the fall of the witch king kinda game. Though, knowing how games like these go, itll prolly be a blatant cash grab with dumbed down combat mechanics and a less than compelling story.

They ought to consider allowing us to create our own characters, tbh. That is if they do decide to make another game.

Based off who we make, dictates what kind of captains we could recruit. If you make a man, you recruit men. If you make an Orc you can recruit fellow orcs.

Use Baranor as a sort of template, with the grapple and whatnot. Goal would be, fighting for Gondor and pushing the forces of Mordor back, or as the Orcs, bring the lands of Gondor under your banner.

The story would be simple. If you are a Human, you're duty is to simply defend Gondor against the might of Mordor, reclaiming occupied territory, defending it, etc.

If you are an Orc, you're job is to conquer Gondor.

DLC could perhaps be expansions to the Map, to include Rohan, Dale, perhaps even Mirkwood and the Iron Hills. Each expansion adding new territory, but also the race of people that occupy them, with unique armor and combat styles.

Ex. Rohan would be cavalry focused, so you can expect them to favor battles out in the field so that they can try and out-flank you.

Gondorians would have an emphasis on infantry, they would favor getting up close and personal.

But that depends on...like, how "big" they'd intend to make it. I feel like the way they have it set up now, that it is pretty fun.

They could also provide a sort of "PvP" element. Not in the sense that players would actively be fighting eachother in battles(that'd be sweet, but, hard to implement in this style of game), but in a world war type of deal, kind of like in For Honor. The more Victories won by Orcs in Osgiliath, give the Orcs a type of extra reward for fighting there or something.

what next? Orcs with guns? if this one was such Lore breaking, it wouldn't suprise.

I don't think people play these games consider it to be canon. I certainly don't, but that doesn't make the game not fun.

I want to see an in depth chapter of the shadow wars. have Baranor reunite with Talion while he is still fighting back the darkness and have a sort of switch between the two mechanic, your choices as Baranor affect Talion's army if you kill his captains. More maps for sure, when i first saw Minas Tirith marked on the world map i was excited but when i found out it was just a landmark with some info on it i was kinda like "aw man". But they should pull this out of no where and give us LOTR Conquest HD or whatever alongside Part 3 as some sort of Season pass add on. Either way I want to see more of the existing characters even if that means bending their version of the lore even more. I liked Baranor actually and I think he has a lot of potential. No matter what though I want Shadow of the Gravewalker or whatever they might call it.

I'd expect a sequel would have them wanting to go even bigger in scale like this one did to the original, and I think there's potential there if it was set way back in the Great War. It might lose some of the mass appeal of Sauron, Mordor etc. but I'm sure there are stories to be told of the original struggle against Morgoth.
