You can play the game offline but you will not be able to do the following

you cannot uppgrade ur orcs with traits ( market only and requires online mode and no you cannot buy it and then go offline you have to be online )

You cannot move orcs from 1 region to 1 region requires online mode

and you cannot uppgrade fortresses since fortresses uppgrades are online only ( you can still have ur fortress in standard state with 0 uppgrades in offline mode )

Where are you getting this information? If that is the case, the game would be impossible to play through completely without being forced online, as upgrading the fortress is kind of essential. Plus, the fortresses aren't directly connected to the market, meaning they would have no reason whatsoever to be online only.

the only things unavailable offline is the market (training orders to move orcs from region to region, and give them traits you want them to have) and social conquests (the "multiplayer" mode), im fairly sure you can still upgrade your fortresses

This is a bit dissappointing to hear, as these sound like essential features which shouldn't be hidden behind an online wall... Oh well, guess I'll have a rough experience with this game and my internet... xD Thanks for the responses guys(btw if anyone could back up the information with a citation, it would be very much appreciated! :D).

Its been said in streams that the market is online only, with this comes the garrison wich is tied to the market.
Result - you can not get or use items/orcs from lootboxes including reassignmentorders and trainingorders.
They have also said this may change if demand is high enough.

I don't know where you guys heard that fortress upgrades are online only, that's ridiculous, you get mirian through out the game and use the mirian to upgrade the fortresses to prepare defenses and attack. Only things you can't do online is the marketplace and obviously invade other people's fortresses/attack their enemies.

Yeah, I'm going to have to see proof that forts require a connection in order to believe it. I see no reason for it to be online only.

Easy to test in a couple days :)

Giving orcs traits will be easily done w/ cheat engine, no problem there. Moving from region to region may be difficult.

I don't see them locking out fortress upgrades tho, that is core gameplay.
