Can we lose fortresses?

Can we lose the fortresses we capture? It wouldn't really be much of a dynamic world if we can't.

As far as we know your Fortresses only get attacked during Shadow Wars at the end of the Story/Campaign and then you CAN lose them yes.

Sadly these Shadow War are not endless.

So there's an nebulous "end" to the whole thing. Meaning, things will eventually just stop happening until you start a New Game or New Game+ (if there is such a thing).

Would that be an accurate statement based on what's been said so far? Trying to decide if I want to get this or another game.

I haven't seen hard confirmation that there is anything happening different from after SoM ending, once you get dumped into the Open World again after the final final ending. Just the online Conquest stuff, i guess.

And so far nothing if there is New Game+ if there is, then they are cutting it pretty close with announcing lol the game should be Gold by now.

Thanks, Xadro. I guess I'll wait to see what happens after release. SoM was amazing and I played for weeks after "beating" that one. I just hope they don't do another QTE final boss. That was BS.

Yep that boss fight was the forst i have ever seen lol

And yeah if you are worried about it then its best to wait till real facts start to roll out from people playing and of course video evidence :)

I really really hope your fortresses get attacked randomly and pretty much forever and that you can lose them of course, on purpose or not. But its looking bleak.

dont know if we ever knew that in this thread since it was suddenly revived out of no where, but there it is

so if i lose and recatch fortress, i can have back the mods I installed in defense slots? (it was a HUGE price those damn walls for each fortress, also losing them would drive to madness)

When you buy an upgrade in a region, it stays bought in that region.

They are going to be releasing a patch to make the Shadow Wars endless.

As the last poster said, there is going to be endless Shadow Wars coming with a free patch that accompanies the release of the first DLC. So you don't need to wait much longer.

This whole thread was made before the live stream where they announced endless Shadow Wars. In fact, during the stream, I was one of the few asking about this and asking when they were going to make their announcement they teased about prior to the stream. :p
