I have found an odd correlation in my games where the ones I treat too nicely (minus reviving which I do to everyone) tend to betray me the most. And the ones I neglect and merely "have" to pad out my numbers are the ones that are super loyal and rescue me during downs and give me a little pep talk after being killed by someone with No Chance.
My guess is that Rebellion makes it so your Field-Captains will be the most likely to try and overthrow you, and your Warchiefs/Overlord will be VERY hesitant to betray you - they've got it better, they're in charge of a Fortress, a REGION of MORDOR itself, let off a leash to rule as they please, repayment by ruling under the Bright Lord's Banner.
Also, you should kinda note this down - Keep your most prized, favored Orcs as Warchiefs/Overlords - This will reduce their Betrayal Percentage by LOADS.
Field-Captains (As I call my Captains who are not apart of the Fortress Slots) Will always feel left out or less-valued, - Why should THEY work for a Lord who doesn't let them rule a Fortress? And why should a Captain let a Lord rule them who demotes them to Field-Captain to let another Captain take his place?
Remember: Your Fortress is IMPENETRABLE from Betrayal of your Field-Captains, and even your Warchiefs betraying you is only a minor inconvenience of whom you can replace, your Fortress can only be taken or harmed by a Fortress Siege.
No, it in't fun losing Orcs you spent hours on.
Wah wah wah. Then you go and get new Orcs. It's called gameplay, ya mook.
I've only ever been betrayed due to blood brother revenge. Stop ignoring your captains and forcing them into pit fights. Stop having 99% of the region dominated and there won't be so many betrayals. Stop sucking and complaining.
