Upgrade challenge bugged

Have a fancy legendary Ringcraft that I can't upgrade because I'm not getting credit for doing the challenge.
0/1 Shame an Online Vendetta target of at least level 40

I've shamed a level 42 and afterwards, on another Online Vendetta quest, I shamed a level 40.

Neither gave me credit. Probably because the quest completed instantly (reward screen popped up immediately and it teleported me back to my own game world afterwards).

Has anyone else experienced this?

Small edit (several days after making this topic): no, I did not have the "Worse than Death" upgrade and yes, I did have the specific item equipped (and even tracked the challenge).

I have had it equipped every time I tried it, would've been pissed if I realized I didn't on some of them. I'm going to run it through without the WTD.. add-on? whatever you wanna call it, gonna do a plain shame and hope that's what is killing it. Thanks for pointing that out though

No. During my attempts to get the challenge done I did not even have that upgrade yet.

No. During my attempts to get the challenge done I did not even have that upgrade yet.

Well this is just getting annoying.. maybe you gotta shame an Uruk from x level down to at least 40? THAT would take the cake for poorly worded challenges I'm sure...

I'm level 60 now so I'll try it against a level 60 target later

I tried with both WTD enabled and without, it is just plain bugged.. very disappointing

Tried it against a 61 and a 55. Not sure which one completed the challenge but it has been completed.

The usual "challenge completed" thing did not pop up however. I noticed it completed because the tracker was gone.

I have the same problem. Additionally, I've set the track the task before starting the vendetta, and then finding that I had to reset to track it again after starting. Very annoyed by this bug

You have to shame an Orc of atleast level 45 in order to get the upgrade, so that he is atleast level 40 when he gets shamed. The important thing is that they are level 40 or higher AFTER they're shamed.

The ring description is stupid and misleading.

Same thing for lvl 60 upgrade. Don't use the Worse than Death perk. Do a regular shame on a level 55 or higher and the upgrade will pop.

Yep, I have Worse Then Death Enabled, I am Level 60, I want to upgrade the Vengence Ring to level 60 and I need to Shame a Level 55 or above. It keeps reseting the tracking aswell upon completion but doesn't finish. Most of the Orcs I am shaming are LvL 63 - 61. And the problem is I can't destroy the Ring. So I can't get a new one from loot.

Just tried this out. (It works) This is the most dodgy ♥♥♥♥♥ I have ever witnissed in this game. There is a lot of seriously curropt thing in regards to what the Developers have done, but this is just stupid. And it's not the first time where information has been misleading in regards to stuff like this. There have been many complaints on similar things.

Can confirm this. The lvl 60 challenge didn't work for me and even though the challenge says specifically "Use Worse Than Death" on a target of at least lvl 55, not using the upgrade and simply shaming a lvl 63 made the upgrade pop up for me, and I am happy, thank you very much.
