No Citadel upgrade after champion fight

My followers beat the champions fight in Cirith Ungol two times but my fortress did not change a bit.

Try going to the army screen and pressing left shift ( its kinda hidden). This brings up the defense screen, and the citadel upgrade unlocks the rest of the warchief positions (though you might not be high enough level to unlock them all right away) and you can add different warchiefs and upgrades there

edit: now I see what you mean, you need the citadel upgrade for the final warchief spot and even though I completed the champions fight too, its still not unlocked for me. Might be a bug

Well, i have finished my last champion pit fight and won it. You press shift in army menu and upgrade addicional slot for warchief and that's give you upgrade to citadel

it unlocks your ability to purchase the final upgrade.

You still need to purchase the other 3 spots.

You need to be a high enough level to purchase it after you've unlocked it through the pit fights, I can't remember if it was 40 or 45

This, if you cant purchase the upgrade before the final one, due to not having a high enough level, you cant buy that final one

For me it unlocked after finishing the main quest

Has anyone actually beat ALL the follower fights to make sure that's not the requirement to unlock the rewards? Also having the same issue

You don't have to do this. I have a fully upgraded fortress and I've only finished 1/5 of the champion fights.

All you have to do is enter the siege menu and purchase the slots.
