Maniac *possible spoilers*

Anyone had any luck making a maniac? I've been shaming the crap out of Bruz even when he hit level 1. He became deranged but didn't turn into a maniac. Really want to turn him into one before recruiting him again.
Then I'll give him a fort. :-)

question is: can a enemy become maniac after they became deranged ?

found something interesting recruit him and then shun him will add more weakneses lol

and from what i tested deranged orks dont cheat death had like 4 of them none came back

10 mins later lost bruz ... too many weaknesses died in 1 hit .... from any weapon

Yeah, I've been shaming Bruz too. Deranged, but not a maniac yet. I'm actually just beginning to think that it might not be possible. Oh well; I guess I can just recruit him and put him through the pit until he gets to the level I want. Unless someone kills him. But it would be hilarious to have him as overlord, and someone raids my fort and Bruz just begs them to take it. Truly a fate worse than death.

No, it gets renamed to Shame - Worse Than Death. Shun is when you recruit someone, THEN shame them and force them out of your army.

I'm playing on nemesis difficulty, im level 21, and i just created a maniac. It put him at level 48, and he's "enraged by everything". He's killed me twice now, and he's started to climb up the ranks towards my warchief. Maniacs are too spoopy for me. Cant even get him damaged enough to dominate him, and even if i did, i cant recruit him until i more than double my level.

That's why i killed mine before things escalated :,D I'm really sad about his death, but this nasty fellow did quite some damage to my horde :o

i think the downside of fate worse than death on prospective candidates is too large it ruins their traits beyond repair so potentially usable deleveled orc with normal shame is unusable with this 99% of the time.

i usually only use shame worse than death on orcs that have betrayed, maybe im lucky, but ive had way more success at getting deranged and maniac orcs this way, consequently, ive had only 2 orcs ever cheat death in my entire playthrough

It's seems random and i'm not sure you can make a maniac from orcs you've broke.

I was REALLY upset when Bruz bought the farm after I recruited him in the siege for that region. It was literally like 10 mins later that he died bc he was like lvl 28

Well, you could recruit his 2 brothers that show up later to avenge his death. One of them pretends to be Bruz.

I was sad when I mercy killed Bruz. Then he came back with one arm still saying I can keep the fort. He has a metal claw for a left arm now lol
