HD texture pack and 4k cinematic pack
If i just want to play in ultra texture do i have to also download the 4k cinematic pack in order to play in ultra texture setting? I not really interested in watching 4k video
I just installed the hd texture pack, will it automically apply to my game or do i need to do some setting?

You have to download them both. For some reason though, the button links in which to click in order to download them are not functioning properly.

no you dont need the 4k cinematic pack to play, that pack only add higher quality prerendered cinematic, no effect to actual gameplay.

I just installed the hd texture pack, but i really cannot see the difference, will the texture pack automically apply to my game or do i need to do some setting

hd texture packs only works if you have a higher resolution display to be able to tell the difference. 2k or 4k display.

I am using 4 k resolution with a 4k tv to play, I think the color is richer than before, is this the only difference ?

I'm playing with a 1440p monitor and noticed the difference straight away. It looks so much better!

That is false, It's a HDtexture pack not a 4k texture pack. I have noticed much clearer images especially in motion with motion blur off, the forests a more crisp and more, very fluid and clear even better with 4 pre rendered frames on (Only for powerful pc's)

Though some people do have more attention to detail ...just like some don't notice the difference between 60hz and 144hz

Can anyone post some screenshots? Not sure if it is really crappy graphics even with the texture pack or if I need to redownload. Verify says 100%. 2560x1440 all ultra still looks low res in my game.

Turn Dynamic Resolution Off and see if you notice a difference. Your framerate will probably tank, but the overall graphic quality and fidelity should be better. Dynamic Resolution automatically alters texture resolution of objects and surroundings, mostly downgrading them to keep an optimal frame rate.

Those that are suffering from fps issues, just set things to 30fps and set everything to Ultra (motion blur Off). Resolution set to 3840x2160. Seriously. It's a far better and smoother experience. 30fps is perfect for 3rd person games (Middle Earth SoW, Assassin's Creed, Darksiders, Castlevania LoS, etc). 60fps is for 1st person games (Doom, Bioshock games, Farcry games, etc).

My specs:
i7 6700 Skylake
16gb ram
GTX 980

Game runs smooth, no problems, no hitching, etc. etc

If that is in reference to me will do. Shouldn't need to with 1080tis but wouldn't be surprised. Thing is that stuff should be off not on by default. Prevent these posts. Ty.

Ty. Looks better. Still not fantastic but certainly better than before.

Are you serious??? Oo XD
Play on console if it's really that hard to find out, meh. ^^ EVERY decent PC GAME is has in-game graphics settings, where you can adjust the level of textures to your VGA's performance. Want to play SoW in 4K? Np, just download the f@cking 4K packs for that + change the f@cking texture setting to the highest level (Ultra) in the in-game graphics settings menu, that's it. But if your PC can't handle it properly, don't blame me or the devs.

You can't really say 'game runs smooth' while recommending 30 fps, it's contradictory.

It's actually depend on your own taste. But btw if your PC has enough juice, I recommend as well to set the Frame/Sec. to 60 instead of only 30. If you rig not really fast/strong enough then I have to agree: constant 30 FPS is still better experience than try to run in 60 FPS but dropping all the time back to 30 FPS...
