lady orcs?

was wondering why there weren't any girl orcs. i'm guessing that in the lord of the rings lore, girl orcs weren't a thing, but this game doesn't seem to be sticking very closely to the official canon so i wondered why i couldn't be fighting and fighting alongside some nasty green women.

I want to raise my sword high alongside a brick ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a woman is all i'm saying here. i mean if you can have loot boxes or whatever nonsense why can't i get a real monstrous she ♥♥♥♥♥

Orcs/Uruks are asexual so there would be no need for females or any females at that matter.

I thought in the Tolkien universe orcs are not a natural breeding race. I think their whole existence is they spring from twisted magics of evil elves and the earth itself, thus no females would exist or be necessary. Orcs only exist to make war and fight, nothing else.

In the LotR universe, uruks are a mixture of Men and normal orcs, (at least that's the accepted origins.) As we see in the movies and with certain captains (i.e. "The Vat Keeper"), Uruks are bred through magic and "spawning pits". Although, the Uruk Azog has a son, so it's possible that female Uruks are kept safe/hidden elsewhere and/or have their own tribes.

Actually, the Silmarilion muddles the issue quite a bit.

Some stories suggest that Orc females are usually kept aside in distant camps so that their child-rearing functions aren't impaired by the poor fellas' insane death tolls. Others suggest that Sauron's first "orcification" of the Black Numenoreans more or less operated like Fallout's FEV and obliterated secondary sexual characteristics on a species-wide level. You're technically fighting a bunch of female Orcs, in this case - it's just not readily apparent.

The third avenue, and the one explored by the Peter Jackson flicks, is that Orcs are vat-grown from an arcane process coined by Sauron. The Uruk would essentially be sapient sewage on two legs, constantly bursting out of more pods. The only exception would be the Uruk-Hai, or the Great Orcs, who supposedly came in a limited batch. Hence the scenes in "The Two Towers" that involve lesser Orcs and goblins digging out Uruk-Hai.

maybe their ARE lady orcs, but like the dwarves, are indistinguishable from the males. Or they are culled for the purity of the superior male race

I think Warcraft has muddied the waters on orcs more than anything else. As far as I know, Warcraft was the first franchise to truly introduce a female orc.
