Brutalize issue

Anyone else having an issue using Brutalize? Everytime I tried to do it with KBD/Mouse it says to use LFT Shift/right mouse button and all it seems to do is draw my bow instead of using the brutalize skill. Is it a bug with the controls?

Brother was having the same issue, its like a stealth kill, you can't brutalize in just regular melee combat. And you hold shift, press right mouse button, not hold or you will draw the bow.

It only works when the red stealth kill icon appears, instead of a normal stealth kill with LMB you can brutalise with RMB

ok ill keep trying, i know the ability pops up when your above someone but it doesnt work, I figured you had to be close, maybe Im just hold the right mouse instead of pressing its a fine line :)

meh.. Game doesnt state you have to be in stealth, nor press quickly repeatedly :P
Skill say "Hold Lshift and right mousebutton" ^^
Gona try it in stealth, and by klicking like a mad one

Edit: Right, ♥♥♥♥ works when in stealth sneaking up on someone unaware. You get the option to press right button to trigger the dirty deed. :D

yea my issue was during one of the challenges where you have to brutalize a boss, he is in the middle of others so its no like you can sneak up on him and you cant do it from a distance...

Ohhhh that mission. If you stealth until you are near the walkway he is on by taking rooftops. You can stealth sprint(shold LShift and Space) at him and SHOULD be able to brutalize him before his icon turns red

Just climb above him a bit before reaching him (so he won't be able to notice you) and then murder him by lightly tapping that button combo (game has some issues when it concerns PRESS and HOLD things =_=)

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this. Trying to trigger brutalize, shanking or ground execution is a crapshoot. I sometimes get the bleep of too-much-input-protest from windows when I try to shank someone and get 1 hit at most.

On that mission I changed the setting so that stealth is a toggle. I toggled on and approached from right below on the wall. When he got close enough, I just right clicked. Trying it any other way was impossible for me.

The way that I finally did it was by running straight through the middle and climbing the wall right in front of him. As I was hanging there with 20 orcs below throwing things at me, I just continually spammed left shift and right mouse as I moved side to side on the wall right there where he stands. It worked the first time that I tried it this way. My 15-20 attempts at doing it correctly were failures. Go figure 😢

Just started the game, and canNOT get Brutalize to trigger. I also have Stealth on L-Shift Toggle, but after trying every combination of L-Shift + RMB I can think of--e.g., whether I hold the L-Shift down or not--it goes to Bow aiming mode as soon as I use RMB. It's becoming frustrating cuz I really liked Brutalize in the first game, but wtf?!

You have to be in stealth and have your target coloured red like for a normal stealth kill. A prompt will also come up iirc

Thanks! I finally got it to trigger, but it seems kinda wonky. Brutalize seems to work better when hanging, etc., but I'm getting it to work more when sneaking about. Thx again :-)
