LOLOLOL
edit: I didn't really notice anything different without it though lol
Not in a million years would I've thought that a game would go over 8gb worth of vram. That is just CRAZY amounts of pixels on a single screen. I can understand if someone was playing on 2 or 3 screens then sure, more vram is needed.
Graphics card - R9 290
Processor - FX 9590
16 gig RAM

See how there's barely any performance loss with the Ultra Texture Pack? Sure the VRAM usages goes through the roof but performance isn't impacted.
At the end you don't need a graphics card with 8GB of VRAM to run this game with Ultra Texture Pack.
Ah, so it stores it for whenever it needs it. I've seen many games that did the same thing, such as the witcher 2. Thanks for explaining it to us.
I had the stutter too on my 1080 ti when I first launched the game after installing the texture pack. Once I let the game run for a bit though it stopped and back to 170ish fps no issues even going to new areas. Might be that you just need to run it for a bit while it does some caching or something.
