What do the day 1 DLC actually add?
Curious as the store descriptions aren't too specific. Mostly curious about the Story expansions and in what way these affect the game.

In short, is it worth spending €40 extra for? Do the DLC add that much content?

There are no day one DLC, beyond small bonuses at any rate. Nothing big.

"• Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion
• Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion
• The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion
• The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion
• Gold War Chest"

This is all DLC. All avaible on day 1 through Silver/Gold edition, or season pass upgrade.

It's the very definition of DLC.

Either way, it's about the content, not the fact there's day 1 DLC.

Uh, the expansions are not Day 1 DLC...they haven't even finished them yet...

So none of that content is currently in-game? Haaaaa..... What a joke, as this isn't mentioned anywhere on the store page.

The implied part of them being expansions is generally enough information for most people...

Gotta read the fine print, but ya, you just bought a whole lotta DLC with no product for it yet. You'll get it when it comes available.

One of the big reasons I don't pre-order or do season pass.

How so? Historically expansions have always been available from the moment they were buyable. Once DLC came into existence is where it became sketchy.

Implied is always objective. For an American, when getting a Donut, it's implied that it'll be stuffed with cream, jelly or some other crap. For a European, it's implied it won't be stuffed.

And then there's a million more examples.

Also, I didn't buy ♥♥♥♥ yet. But now I know I won't have to get Silver or Gold. Why pay full price for something that isn't available, especially as by the time it'll be available it'll most likely be a cheaper total bundle? To each their own but this is why I started this discussion, as I already found it quite odd to find that many day 1 DLC. Glad I was wrong.

I am curious, where on the steam page does it say the extra content of Silver/Gold won't be available until later?

Yeah i too thought those would be included day 1
So even the Slaughter Tribe and Outlaw Tribe will be added later on?

I was actually getting quite pissed that there was a day one expansion, but I'm a more calm now :) Anyway, they need to improve the description of what they are selling. It is not clear that it is not available yet.
