Meh. Up here in Quebec, the Metric and Imperial systems are pretty much interchangeable. We use Metric for our roads, Imperial for water temperature and Metric again for weather measurements, a lot of construction contractors also flip-flop between Metric and Imperial as needed...
It's kind of a non-issue for me, honestly.
I mean, you shouldn't be proud that your citizens are so dumb that they can't wrap their head around numbers, and instead need to state their distances in things they can see, like feet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
