Game Crashes on Startup
I just finished installing the game, restarted my PC. Tried launching it, screen goes black then error window pops up "Middle-earth: Shadow of War has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly"

I don't have anything else running.
Installed latest "Game Ready Driver" from GeForce Experience.
Verified integrity of files.
Disabled Steam Overlay.
Still no go. :(

Anyone know anything I can try before trying to re-insall?

Running on an Omen laptop.
GTX 1050Ti
Intel Core i7
12GB RAM
Windows 10

Any help would be greatly appreciated... been waiting a long time for this game.

Alright, so I'm not that good at diagnosing these types of things... still at this.

Determined that the problem had to do with a .dll file connected to MS Visual C++ Redistributable.
Confused as to all the installed MS Visual C++ Redistributables, I decided to uninstall all of them... this finally got the game to actually boot up but would crash upon intro.

Then I installed the MS Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable which got the game to boot up and I can mess around in the menus, but then after a minute or so it will just close, no error window or anything...

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

FIXED!

Watched the video on youtube, followed his instructions and it went from crash on startup (reinstalled multiple times, verify integrity, graphics driver up to date blah blah blah) to actually working. Posting link to video fix

Make sure no other background apps are running when you launch the game. MSI afterburner prevented me from launching the game, I had to close it.

I solved the problem, I closed all the background programs and it started
