Unsure, at least 5 Confirmed regions, and a future 6th in a DLC.

Well in the gameplay related videos they have a few shots where it shows at least 15 or so fortresses/regions

Firstly, look at the Store Page's Gold Edition Info, it confirms a Fortress in one of the DLC's, and a Fortress is PAIRED with a Region, thus it's suffice to say that there's obviously going to be another Region/Fortress in one of the DLC's.


Is that satisfactory evidence for you? Because I couldn't really care on the DLC's at this very moment, if the base game delivers, it's fine for me.

I suppose. There are like the BIG fortresses which are probably story relevant I know there are a lot of regions though

the store says this: Nemesis Expansions include a new Orc Tribe featuring new enemies, followers, missions, abilities, weapons, Fortress and wilderness updates, and a Legendary Gear Set.

so it mentions a fortress and wilderness update not necesarily a new fortress/region

it's footage from the end of the first gameplay trailer HOWEVER it is not the in game map of the regions, that's why i say it's misleading. Also in an interview Micheal de Plater did say there are 5 regions in the game, I can't find the interview at the moment but other people will back me up on this.

also I'm not trying to attack you or something I'm just saying that the image you posted is a misleading image from an early trailer

Could it be that the "buildings" shown there are encompassed into the larger regions where there is one main fortress? I dunno but it seems like the logical explanation. Or 5 regions with subdivisions

don't know if somebody else said but 5 forts and in a way its infinite because you can face against online forts
