Can't even trust steam r eviews anymore, though. People can buy games, leave an intentionally bad review, then refund it and the bad review sticks.

Wtf, i didn't say that in any way. Just said that smaller reviewers certainly wouldn't risk getting on the naughty list of a big publishers and thereby shooting themselves in the foot.

I wouldnt trust reviews for this at all, at least unless it comes from an actual good source like angryjoe or ACG.

Wouldnt be the first time WB paid people to say good stuff about their game, hell, wouldnt be the first time they did it on this franchise, and theres just 2 games on it. if the metascore is 82 or something, this actualy probably deserves at most 70.

Look at the overall result. If the average is high then good. Just go watch the Monolith streams and watch them play the game. You will see it is solid.

All gaming news outlets and news outlets in general are full of ♥♥♥♥ and extremely biased. The games press lie about games companies, they people who write for them don't even play games, they get paid by games developers to give them media coverage or good reviews (riot games for example). Steam reviews are by far the most honest reviews seen as they made by gamers who actually play games instead of claiming to have 10+ years of gaming but take 3 hours to get out of the "near impossible tutorial".

You trust steam reviews that can get botted and negative-review bombed by people that can temp-buy a game and refund it right after they leave a review..

You would have to be pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dense to just read the negative reviews. If I'm not sure on a game I tend to read through the good and bad reviews or ask a mate who has the game. Then I look through the pros and cons to see if its worth buying. Also people negative review bomb for a reason, it may be retarded but it tends to be when a games company brings out a ♥♥♥♥ game, does something ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or doesnt look after/pay attention to their other games and only focuses on dota 2.

When a good game is bombed with negative reviews because of a minor thing, which has happened to many games on steam in the past due to how horribly abused the review system is, it does affect sales.

He was talking about the end game Shadow Wars, after you beat the main campagin. Which is supposed to be grindy. It's been pretty unanimous that the main game doesn't force MTs and is balanced appropriately.

Shadow Wars was meant for those that wanted to do more with thier orkish army after the story mode was over. He personally could have been bored after the campagin and wanted to get it overwith.

It doesn't mean he sucks, it's just not what he wanted.
