Shadow of war Garrison is tied into Online only

Hello gentlemen and ladies.

Some new info was given light in the shadow of war official forum regarding online and offline.
Warnerbro and Monolith claim this game can be played in offline mode but requires online to acess market that was it.

However acording to the info on the official forum that is not everything you need to know.

Following things will be unavaible offline. Also you cannot store a training order or movement order after you get it online and take it with you offline!!!!

1st training orders to train a orc to legendary
2nd Movement order to move orc to new region
Also your garrison will be tied into the cloud save and linked to the market.
some functions of the garrison will therefor be online only.

so for those who intend to play this game offline only you will be unable to do the following.

transfer a orc to new region. ( online only ) ( cannot store orders and use offline )
Level orcs to legendary through training order ( requires online only and cannot be saved offline )
currently since the garrison is tied into online only its unsure if any more things are locked behind online and offline but it seems that various orcs cannot be attained offline since they online silver chest only ( not yet confirmed )
we also do not know if you can level a orc to legendary offline.

take this info as you wish but the microtransactions system is deeeply rooted into this game and offline play will suffer for it.

This post was validated by the patch notes wich clearly states once the micro trans awas removed more legendary orcs and such was added into the offline world that was previously only part of micro trans

If you dont use the market u will be at disadvantage. Yes Im saying disadvantage. I dont care if this is a non multiplayer game. It is not fair for ppl who use the market are more powerful and has access to more features. Its sad WB....

Of course it is.

You can only get Orc's into the garrison by ether getting them from chest or by using training order to send them there.

If you are not using at least the in game currancy side of the Marketplace the garrison is useless to you.

Indeed it is of little surprise, the Garrison is tied to the Market, because that's where all the Captains go after opening the Pokemon Balls.

Dude, you can get captians to legendary offline, just leveling them up will get them to legendary status

Haven't seen it, show me. I have only seen them level up, not go up in Class/Grade

It was pretty common sense for me the Garrison would be since that is where your MARKET crap goes after you receive it. Offline play won't suffer anything, movement orders are only useful for getting some amazing orc you have to a new region to be overlord, but even in the first game we couldn't make our warchiefs switch areas. And EVERY orc can be obtained OFFLINE through encountering and branding it. Which is stupid to say otherwise. No orc in the open the world you run into will be locked because it is only obtained in the chest, because everything in the chests CAN be obtained normally through gameplay.

It was confirmed on one of the early livestreams that orcs level up with a chance of them turning to legendary/higher tier. Along with making them fight in the pit to help them achieve that.

It seems like its pretty rare then, because even normal to epic hasn't happened yet in the pit fights we have seen.

People were probably expecting to get training orders via Cheat Engine or Trainers to use offline or on a pirated copy. People have gotten away with this on other games with MT or MT-like consumables.

People were probably expecting to get training orders via Cheat Engine or Trainers to use offline or on a pirated copy. People have gotten away with this on other games with MT or MT-like consumables.

Makes sense, and honestly I feel bad for them because I feel like people should be able to cheat all they want in a single-player game. It just comes down to the fact that you can bring your orcs into online fights, so cheating shouldn't be allowed. But then if you can't cheat to have strong orcs, why can you buy them?
I guess maybe the training orders have certain specifications, but if you could cheat them in, then you could make them do whatever you want..? So to keep "cheating" balanced, you have to buy your cheats?
(I'm someone who doesn't care at all about the MTs because I don't plan on using them, and I plan on winning online fights through effort and skill since even if someone else buys a fortress of legendary orcs, they're still just orcs.)

Why would you do offline only exactly?
