How do I use elven rage properly?

The way it's show in the tutorial video ranger swiftly teleports to orcs and melee executes them. when i use elven rage and start pressing LMB my hero just starts shooting at all directions one shot range killing everyone without those cheesy execution/teleports. what do i do wrong? i tried sprinting towards one of the enemies to try to start this teleport chain from him but the whole thing runs out quicker than i reach or kill him.

If I recall correctly you have unlimited shot, focus and rage in that mode for the duration.

Use shadow strike and keep chaining it.

how is the execute of that shadowthingy? E and mouse or ?

Aim and X. Teleport to and kill target. You may need to skill up more to chain it though.

Maybe... unless there is some other combo... Don't use that mode too often myself.

Still confuses me as well, more so the timing, unless the reminder pops up I honestly don't have a good idea when i'm capable of using it

Well, this game is somewhat confusing with some mechanics and requires some getting used to.
For the first hour or two, it confused the hell out of me why I did not get execution after 12-16 hits and other times I got it after 1-2, because I didn't notice the new small bar they added for it, throwing the mechanic from Batman Arkham/Mordor out the window.
Although I will admit, I also don't understand elven rage that much - I used it maybe 2 or 3 times to barely any effect. Helpful, but not incredibly useful. Although I admit, I also was clicking attack button, because I've thought you have to. I guess tutorial is not clear enough about it.
Even though it says arrows should be unlimited, I guess that comes with upgrade or later, because in the beginning I had a feeling it had limited arrows.

At least now I don't have to be ashamed or feeling incredibly stupid, because ti seems I'm not alone :)
