Poison grog....usless???

I find this skill usless compared to the last game, i can poison the grog and they wont touch it, in the 1st game this skill was really good but now seems like there is no point to it apart from when you have no were else to put skill points then get it. i wish i knew this before as it was a skill i got pretty quick and soon regreted it.
anyone else having same issue or had any better results than me????

sometimes they dont, but it makes a great balefire starter.

when you run through an area, just use the poison grog powe ron every barrel you see. later you'll come back to find gems all over the place.

Not sure, but I think that when you explode a grog barrel, enemies that are immune to burning take no or less damage ... if you poison it before, maybe it's no longer flame, but poison damage?

It is, it becomes Balefire if they were poisoned and then put on fire.

You have to wait forever for them to drink from it. A waste of time.

The skill is very useful if you need to do poison damage though, because it toggles the explosion to poison if you use it right before you blow it up.

Balefire is the thing, really handy to turn any grog barrel into a poison bomb without even having to go near it.

If you're patient and you spend the time to set it up, the Contagion rune for Poison Grog can clear out Captain's entire surroundings. Sometimes it'll even kill the Captain in the free-for-all bar brawl that takes place. And if an Olog drinks from it? Game over for almost everything nearby.

from observations i'd say elemental damage increases drop rates. but i cant be sure.

When I poison the grog they drink it all the time. =D I have done several Online Vendettas with the help of poisoned grog, it works great in my game.=D

you have to poison the grog, then whistle near it to make them walk to it they usally drink from it then.

How to use poison grog

Step 1 = get skill to poison grog using 1 button just targeting it with your bow

Step 2 = Use mighty shot with flammability mod

Step 3 = Mighty shot said grog barrel and watch a giant explosion of balefire burn everything nearby the grog barrel to ash

Step 4 = Profit


Better yet you wait for the captain your hunting to path nearby said grog barrel

i have that skill and shooting the grog is what i end up doing, will try be more patient but that is one thing i lack especially when playing a game surrounded by orcs.

It takes a while until the Uruks start drinking. I use it with the exploding corpse upgrade and as stupid as they are they keep coming in and drink again and again.

If you are patient and like watching Ururk explode in a poisen cloud, this skill can clear half of a camp.

Im with everyone else, its works really well for me. Take the one upgrade that enrages them and as soon as they trigger the poison on hit effect everyone becomes chaos.

i find this skill very useful, since compared to the first game the poisoned grog stays poisoned even when moving far away from it. since the orcs apparently are being computed even while being very far away from you, i made it a habbit to poison every barrel i can find and thus sometimes kill captians with it while being at the opposite site of the region.
