Loyalty
Is there way to check an orc’s loyalty and chances of betrayal? Or is it just random? Is there a way to control it?

Lore wise there should be no chance of betrayal. They have been magically bound with the ring.

It is in the game just because the devs could....

True, but it still happens.

If you keep the Orcs level lower than yours, it reduces the chance of betrayal. I only ever had 2 betray me and I have 51 hours so far.

Sounds right, but could there be any signs, or could it be random?

As far as I know, that's not an option, since isn't orc level capped by player level?

There is no way to check loyalty, unfortunately. It would be great if we could. There are some obvious factors... Like if you kill somebody's blood brother, it's a safe bet you'll get backstabbed.

I'd love to see loyalty mechanics more fleshed out, with a wider range of player actions affecting orc loyalty globally as well as individually. It would also be great if we got some ques, like grumbling/smiling/frowning/laughing when vieing the captains, or hearing idle chatter from orcs complaining about the bright lord or praising him. Maybe in an update/mod/sequel....

It is, but I was talking about having Orcs be the same level you are.

Here is another question, what are the odds of a random follower uruk saving you? I have been saved by my bodyguards many times, but my friend claim to be saved by a random uruk follower who wasn't his bodyguard. Has this happen to anyone else?

Well, I was saved by a random Gondorian soldier during a fight, so it is probably possible. Of course, was he talking about Forthog?

Once you do the Bruz questline then Calabrimbor explains how the "loyalty" works
That you have to help with the raids, duels, hunts, ambushes and all that for the orcs to keep liking you

No, (but he did save me once) it was a random archer uruk who actually had a funny story.

One of my warchiefs saved me once. i had him from the beginning of the second act and i saved him a few times and got him his place as a warchief, i guess that was the kicker

When I first started I kept getting betrayals left and right, but in the end it was mostly due to bad luck with getting LOTS of blood brothers in my game. Mid-game now, and I see a lot less betrayals thus far.

Its easy. Im playing for 20 hours, no betrayal at all. Dont kill their blood bros, make them happy, train them save them dont hit them and send them to missions

One of the newest amazing features of the Nemesis System is Betrayal - And can happen for many reasons and you can merely rely and trust that you do right in what the opinion-presets are for the Captains.

Like a Captain can have a Blood-Brother, if you kill him or he dies in strange circumstances with you interfering nearby then the Captain, even if on your side, could hold you responsible if his loyalty is not greater than his kinship.

Other Captains that are "Deranged" or "Maniacs" have higher chances to betray you out of the random curiousity of their madness, while ones that are titled "The Obsessed" and are nearly (almost sexually) obsessed with the player, they likely will be less chanced to betray you.

Another interesting concept are the Captains with the title "Gravewalker" Which might betray you for using their title or will keep to your side as the Two Gravewalkers, in such.

Overall, the Nemesis System is simple yet complex, and betrayal is just as such.
