Carnan Quest line bug

Alright, so I've experienced several bugs in the final mission of the Carnan quest line, Frozen Flame (spoilers ahead):

Round 1: First play through, Carnan never showed up as a Drake as I was fighting the Balrog on foot. Had to quit the game, then restart the mission, then it worked.

Round 2: Now that I had her as my drake, no amount of dive bombing would kill the Balrog. After the third or fourth time, the cutscene where the Balrog and Caranan died together played. After the cutscene, he just stood there on the ice not doing anything and all I could do was fly Caranan around. Again, I had to quit the game and restart the mission before it worked

Round 3: Ok, this time everything worked. Caranan arrived, she drowned the Balrog sacrificiing herself in the process, and the mission properly ended. I've now checked online and it seems this is the last mission in her quest line. However, I still cannot unlock "Dragon Song." I'm not 100% sure this is a bug, maybe there is some point I need to reach in the game, but according to the tooltip, all I need to do is finish the Carnan quest line. Am I missing something still or is this a bug? And if it is another bug, how do I fix it since, now the quest is finished,
I can't replay it?

Now you need to deal with zog if you recall him from the first mission I think

It's not finished. You still have to defend her tree and Fight the undead.
