"Meh" pretty much sums it up. Her voice acting is meh, her story is meh, her interaction with the MC is meh, her ending is meh.
I seriously, don't understand why people don't like her. She is my favorite character.
She doesn't have any business fighting beside the men folk. Let alone leading them while screaming orders. That's just ridculous.

I was really enjoying the game until they introduced the ninja cheerleader known as Idril. There is absolutely no way that I'm going to play this game if she is in the whole thing. I see that I have 63 minutes into it, could somebody who is far into the game tell me if I'll have to put up with super girl the whole time? Because if so I'll just go ahead and refund it now.
She's only in few scenes that I've seen (I'm taking my time through Act 2 atm). She's a non-issue as far as my play experience is concerned.
That's cool I'll just go ahead and keep it then. I'm definitely liking it so far.
I honestly couldn't care less what you hope.

She's just annoying. At least in Return of the King the Rohan chick whose namme escapes me was a good character. Idril is Monolith trying very, very hard to pander to "strong independant women".

I do agree with you about her trying to pander to the feminists to the point of unbelievability, but I still do like her character.

I honestly never got that vibe of Pandering, and I am the first one of those group of a-holes to start screaming "FEMINIST SJW CRAP AGAIN!" like an immature child on stuff.

The only part that made me think that was a line where Baranor is talking to her about how he is going to stay in Mordor as well if she is. She instantly says something like "I don't need you to protect me. I am doing this alone." Sorry, but that line was incredibly stupid and to me is pandering to the "Women don't need a man for anything." crowd. I mean, all Baranor was saying was that he wasn't going to leave her alone.

"heh you may have thought you could come onto this forum and talk about a video game but you see ive called you a winer what now?"

Back in ancient times that was the case for us

Since LOTR has a mideveil-isk theme it makes sense to follow the aforemention
Maybe it's different in the book but I binged the movies not two days ago and Theoden's entire set of dialogue can basically be summarized as "This is fine, Rohan will be fine. Nothing to worry about".
Im sure your right, you probably could justify here being there it just is silly to watch block a blow from an orc that towers over here. Frankly all the humans look scrawny to them.

Well a little fan fact for yall, if the lore would be right with Tolkien. Idril would have in time around LOTR(Shadow of... is cca 60years before) about 6700years and she would be an immortal elf. So, you don't have to tell me about "frustration".

She is mother of Earendil and grandmother of Elrond and Elros. Elrond is in LOTR about 6500yo.

First of all: n-n-n-n-necropost!

Second: Just because they share a name doesn't mean they're the same person, or that they are intended to be the same person.
