I think that's actually a rather realistic reaction to being demoted. Dislike. Betrayal.
There's also tons of fun ways to level up your orcs. Best of which is to pit them against tons of enemies until someone kills them, and then you put someone better in their place.
enemy captain as well.
Could be true, I demoted two guys to do two quest so they are close to my level and then promote them, within the first mission both betray me. I am guessing it could play a factor or complete luck, but I wasn't happy.
Maybe running away doesn't play a factor, there are times where the captain is a savage or shield guy which are the worst and I have to circle around and throw knives so i can replenish my arrows and shoot him. I mean I can't attack the savage guy cause A: he is immune to vault and immense HP and B: trying to hit him at the front he just head-butts you.
Frost does the trick but till they adapt to it.
However, my orcs didn't betray me cause of that, simply all 3 ganged up on me after I demoted 2 and the other no idea why.
Also he kidnapped one of my higher Orcs and took him with him as he did it.
Smashed the dudes head on the ground when he confronted me.
As I killed him he told me "Out of all my bosses you were the worst.. and the rest were orcs"
So I think he was bored of sitting around all day.
it's confusing indeed, I am on stage 8 on act 4 defending my bases and I am a bit tired of always changing my orcs so I don't lose the good ones in battle. Personally it depends if I die or not honestly haha, but I guess stronger orcs is a better choice so they survive the fights and don't die even the average ones.
I only get blood brother revenge, which seems if a new warchief comes in they could get that trait with one of the warlords. Then if you kill him the warlord betrays you.
So it seems you gonna need to check every new orc
I hadn't attacked a blood brother of his, didn't demote him, and I don't see any reason why he would've disliked me. I think he just got too powerful and decided that he would try to overthrow me.
I don't actually remember if he was above my level or not, but I think he was. And that's the only reason I can think of that he decided to betray me. It sucks too cause I was gonna make him a warchief because I liked him.
I wonder if ambush plays a role, feel like it wouldn't you have an orc thats really low level and want to power him up, so you bring in some buddies to make him stronger and so that he doesn't die. I have 3 legend orcs level 15 that need work cause i opened the box early on lol so they need advising.
they can never go above your level, but it may be that if they did enough missions and didnt level up because you arent leveling up, they betray you because you are holding them back
Could be, had a few guys maxed level and one legend level 53 (hasn't betrayed me yet) but its weird. We won't fully know what triggers it, we can second guess and predict but we will never really know why.
I was trying to free one of my captains from being executed and while I was doing that a series of unfortunate events took place:
-Another captain of mine ambushed/betrayed me.
-My olog bodyguard betrayed me
-Another olog captain betrayed me and stopped in. He had another one of my still friendly captains in his hand and smashed him into the ground causing him to start bleeding, it was cool.
