World map castles?

Hey guys! What are these castles on the map that are red and has info if you click em? Is it only lore.... or actuall places we can siege later on?

Yeah I thought there would be more sieges for me to do since there are so many more red regions still locked down and I'm in Act 4 of the game. I get showing them off for story an lore purposes but don't make it look like I can take it over later down the line if it's never a possibility lol

DLC stuff I wager, story expansions and more tribes are confirmed in the future. New people to meet, kill and dominate.

yes, but the fortress assaults (Shadow Wars) have an ending so they won't have a real part aoutside of online at that point
