First of, it is highly unlikely that any money from the microtransactions goes to Monolith.
It is probably all going to Warner Brothers. And it isnt there to "support the devs" its there to make money by putting something that belongs in a free2play games in a game that you have to pay a premium price for upfront.
secondly, although it is true you can earn a little bit of gold through the daily quest, and buy loot boxes with miriam. You have to keep in mind that you get worse items and orcs through the silver chests. Secondly, it shouldnt be there to begin with because it is a premium price, single player game. LOOT BOXES HAVE NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PLACE HERE. It is nothing more then shameless money grabbing.
