Photo Mode is Super Unresponsive for (at least my) Controller

I personally loved the photo mode in the first one. And it was a great tool for many reasons. The ease of access to turn it on or off mid-fight anywhere was a huge one.

But in this? I'll be lucky if I can mash it down 50 times and catch that last second of the moment. Am I the only one who finds it so unresponsive on controller? I know Left Stick is for the boost run now so it can't be there anymore but.. something has to be done for this.

Edit: Controller is relatively new. So it being from age and use isn't a conclusion I would jump to. Some times it works well, others it won't respond at all. It *does* eventually activate. But it lacks precision for me. Exact precision I had perfectly fine for Mordor.

Edit 2: My fix was simply to put the mode's secondary key for Right Control and scoot my keyboard close when I plan to take a shot. However, I have learned this is a poor replacement for mid-fight scenarios. Just can't get my hand there in time. The LS + Y combination needs to be looked at, or able to be replaced if it isn't already.

It's your controller. I have 0 issues using my trusty x360 pad.

I have a x360 pad as well. And I had no problem taking shots during battles. The problem for me is when I try to take shots with the "Idle" pose with the sword sheathed, I have to try it a lot o times but most of the attempts Talion only does the block motion over and over.

I haven't had major problems with the photo mode, although I also think that the button combination was far better in the previous title.

Has to be turned on and you have to press the corresponding button. On MnKB by default it is P.

Yeah I have the same issue. Sometimes it just refuses to activate while other times it responds exactly when I want it too. Shame, missed quite a few nice shots because of this.

you could use Ansel if youre running a decent nvidia card.

Ansel doesn't play nice with controllers currently. You'll end up spinning the camera nonstop until you disconnect the controller.

The instructions to activate it are confusing, but I worked it out.

Press and hold the left stick in, and whilst it is in, quickly press Y. Timing is important, not at the same time, but not too late either.

Pressing them both at the same time, or holding them at the same time was what I tried initially, but the procedure above works for me 100% of the time now.
