How do i do "Combat Domination"

I need to do a mission as the glowy elfy thingy. and it says "3 combat dominations"... How do i do that ? I did fight several enemies and dominated them when i got the time/room for it. but it did not count.
What am i doing wrong ?

Combat domination is a special ability that you need to unlock. Then when your might meter is full (the one for Executions) press C to do a combat Domination instead of a finisher.

The ability is called "Consume" in the skill selection
