yeah when it gives you the option when you first start up, just dont agree to the first little circle, and only hit accept. ive been doing offline cause that prompt gave me bad vibes

You can play in offline mode. It simply disables access to the market, which you don't need anyway.
It will also stop you playing the online battles of course, but apart from getting the vendetta legendary set, they're not really crucial or anything. Though I find them a lot of fun.

I've already run the game once in online mode but since at work I'm on site I don't have good internet connection here and would like to play offline mode. However I think I clicked on the "circle" you mentioned. Is there a way I can work around that? Also I've bought some items from the market and had some achievements. However I don't really need all that I just wanna be able to play the game when I'm on site working.

You technically, "can" play in offline mode. But, realistically you won't be able to because this game has Denuvo. The way Denuvo works is after you verify Denuvo with an online connection you can play offline, that is until the game needs to be verified again. If Denuvo wants verification which requires internet access, you won't be able to play the game offline.

The developers, or so I heard, get to set when Denuvo requests verification. While you technically can play the game offline, you'll need to be online whenever Denuvo decides it needs verification while you are playing offline.

Sorry, I didn't explain it very well. Questions?

From what I understand this verification thing usually defaults to monthly, so it's usually not an issue.

Haha damn that sucks :( but I've tried running the game in offline mode but it keeps saying "you are in offline mode please switch to online under steam on the top left hand corner" something along those lines my laptop is switched off at the moment so can't check. Anyway I can work around this or.. Not really?

Will a 3G/4G connection to the internet on a laptop through my mobile phone be enough to do the Denuvo verification? And I can disconnect from the internet after that?

You just have to turn Steam offline after the first online launch of the Game.

Yes, it should be enough and you can disconnect from the internet afterwards and you should be fine.
