White boxes flashing on the screen
Is anyone else seeing white boxes randomly flickering on the screen? Its common enough to be a bit frustrating.

I have tried with adaptive vsync, FPS limiting, and normal vsync and it always appears.

yeah, no in-game change seems to fix it, i think once when I set the adaptive vsync really high and it made the graphics total crap it stopped working but can't seem to do that again now.

32 hours until I reached act 3 and they never went away. I either noticed them less because I got used to them, or they became less frequent overtime.

Had the same issue since I started playing, ~40 hours in. hopefully someone figures out how to fix this, I've tried updating my drivers and messing with settings but have had no success so far.

It also happens to me as well, be nice to have it fixed since its unbearable for me to play like it is and it's otherwise not a bad game.

Same here. Tried reinstalling drivers, turning off gsync and messing around with settings but nothing seems to work. Have no idea what's causing it.

For me it turned out that my graphics card was causing artifacting when overclocking. I have no idea why because I've been using the same OC profile for over a year and I've never had artifacting or crashes in any other game. For some reason Shadow of War is the one game that causes my graphics card to go nuts when OC'ed.

If you are using MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision to OC your card try turning it off and see if it fixes the issue.

These just recently appeard on my System too. I've never experienced these during my first playthrough and i would suspect that maybe a patch caused these (at least for me because I've never had them until a few days ago) and they seem to mainly appear during (online?) conquests. I'd suggest Monolith to take a look at it in Seregost as I've had them there quite often during an online conquest.

EDIT: And it cannot be GPU-OC in my case since my 980Ti ist running absolutely rockstable since about two years (even Furmark won't make it crash or produce artifacts, Mod-BIOS instead of OC Tools).
The rest of my System:
R7-1700X
32GB DDR4-2933
Windows 8.1
Game is running at 2160p @ 1620p internal upscaling.
That should be all that matters.

It's a bug from the recent update.I have this problem plus issues with navigating from the world map to the army map as it lags for some reason now. Never had these issues til the update.

Like I said I've been using the same OC for over a year and I've never had any problems except specifically with this game. I don't know if this is unique to me but turning off my OC absolutely solved my problem when nothing else did.

That's what I am suspecting too since I've never had that bug before the latest update. I've even had it occuring in the world-map once after the patch.
