Celebrimbor's Fate

So what do you guys think happened to Celebrimbor after the ring is destroyed and Celebrimbor's spirit is released from Sauron? We know Talion dies and perhaps goes to Valinar because the background looks like it from the ending cutscene. But what about Celebrimbor?

He became one with the dark lord merged, there is no release...he got destoryed at the same time he did

i'm pretty sure he's released from sauron and still alive as a wraith, because of the second ring he made.

I did see that blue orb fly off. Although I was reading some wiki articles that when Celebrimbor made the one true ring and gave it a mind of its own, he cursed himself to be a wraith until the ring was destroyed so the ring does get destroyed so I wonder whether Celebrimbor died. As for Valinor, Celebrimbor did turn on Talion so I don't know if that makes him unworthy of Valinor.

I'd say since Celebrimbor, "poured his life force into his New Ring" that he's pretty much now apart of it too, binding him to Middle-Earth like Sauron once did, plus we can see how connected they are when Celebrimbor makes the New Ring appear in his hand from Talion's finger while being a few feet apart in SECONDS when he leaves Talion to die.


It is pretty apparent that Celebrimbor's used too much of himself into his own Ring for it to be a mere "enhancement" of his abilities, it's almost at a point like the original One Ring - apart of Sauron so much they're bound to Middle-Earth.

So after Sauron cuts of Eltariel's finger he combines himself with Celebrimbor who fight internally perpetually. What happens to the ring that was cut off? What happens to Eltariel? There are too many loose endings

The New Ring supposedly was Lost, but Celebrimbor can probs just make it appear to him like he did in the one cutscene where he let Talion die.


Eltariel almost definitely survives, the Blade of Galadriel confirms this, it's description mentions, "Play as Eltariel as she takes on the newest addition of the Nazgul" - Newest addition which is referanced ONLY to Talion.

This is obviously an Elterial v Nazgul Talion moment that happens in the Expansion, heck, maybe the only reason Talion never sees the Nazgul again for 60 or 20 odd years of him being the Lord of Minas Morgul was because Eltariel may of been doing background murder on the Nazgul...

It seems like Celebrimbor could be brought back for a sequel if they need him, since he's seen flying off from the destruction of the Eye of Sauron and the New Ring was never shown to have been destroyed. Like Sauron and the One Ring, I think Celebrimbor is tied to the New Ring.

However it stated in the wiki that when Celebrimbor made Sauron's ring, he inadvertently cursed himself to be a wraith. And only when the ring was destroyed would be he allowed to die... I don't think he's coming back

Well he kinda made a new binding for himself with his New Ring... he damned himself to one Ring at the first time and now he's damned himself to another...

When he made the New Ring, he stated that he poured his soul into it. So yeah perhaps you may be right.

Next thing you'll know Celebrimbor's gonna get an Expansion DLC where he makes several more Bright Rings and goes "Yep, I think i'm immortal now."

It'd be quite interesting if a later Expansion would take the story idea of after Sauron's fall, where the last remnants of Orcs reside, Celebrimbor just bonds himself with a simple Uruk in an attempt to reclaim Mordor or something.

it would legitimately make sense now thanks to Celebrimbor's newfound betrayal and idea to restore order to Middle-Earth JUST like Sauron, perhaps a weak Uruk who has the limited strength of an average Human, and by Uruk standards came out of the vats weak and Celebrimbor made them a Wraith-Uruk maybe?
