Can’t dismount and kill drakes

Just trying to figure out if this is a feature or a bug. If I summon a drake and then do the “dismount and kill” action, Tallion will jump off and cut off its head on the way down.

However, if I weaken a wild drake and then dominate it, and try to do the same thing, Tallion will jump off after I let go of the button (which is already weird), NOT kill the drake and, worst of all, the drake will become “unbroken” again.

Is this intended behavior or am I just running into some sort of really annoying bug?

Same for me. Just let the orcs kill it for you.
